Wow - trying to find places to book for my work accommodations in Vancouver in January & really freaking blown away at what some people are charging for basically a shitty room with zero privacy. Last night I retired my trusty Sony MDR-7506 headphones. Thank you for 20 years of great service! One speaker is now far too blown, and various wires need to be resoldered. So much music has been heard through those cans and they've been used on all my recordings since I've owned them.

I bought a new set from Beyerdynamic (DT 770) they are filling the role seamlessly. They are quite comfortable and have a nice open sound as well.

last year, 78% polled wanted increased investment in US passenger rail, a number that went to 80% among women and 82% in cities and 91% among Black people. this year, 76% polled in the US said they are afraid of self-driving cars & just 9% say they trust them and that number is declining year to year

If large websites respected our choices regarding ads (DNT is a decade old, people!) and served contextual ads when asked to not track, we would not need to use #AdBlockers.

Instead, for over a decade now web publishing industry's been hell bent on screwing readers over, ignoring clearly stated preferences, misrepresenting what they do with the data, and using dark patterns to maliciously mis-implement legal requirements when forced to do so.

Stop this crap and I might disable my AdBlocker.

Gotta say, the #Arturia #MicroFreak was already my favorite synth, and I am just sitting here now in awe of this new update (adds sample playback, 3 granular engines, snappier envelopes and more). I am beginning to think these people can do actual fucking #magic.

It has 210 seconds of sample time! How? I remember seeing people ask for this feature over a year ago and I laughed, thinking there was no way there was enough free ram... I will never doubt again.
