Welcome to Columbus, where drivers turn parking violations into felonies.

Yesterday, I was hit by a car that rolled through a stop sign at a poorly designed 2-way stop. Later, I spoke in front of Columbus City Council to demand that they redesign these intersections, which they have already done elsewhere.

Excuse my outfit, this is what I was wearing when I was hit.

I picked up Remedy’s Control again, now that they have a remaster.

Now I remember why I put the game down last time: the save points are super far apart. Dying means replaying whole scenes again. This motivates me to start turning on Easy Mode assists because I don’t really want to spend the time to get good at the fight mechanics.

Funny enough the raytrace mode is still capped at 30 fps. The game still runs at 60 fps (my TV status bar tells me so)—it just draws new frames every other time. I was hoping that the PS5 would have allowed raytrace mode to run at 60 fps. However, even 30 fps is much better than the PS4, which would drop even more frames. Raytrace mode is almost required for this game. The graphics are GORGEOUS. The brutalist interior design and the camera work are so beautiful.

Looking forward to playing through this storyline.

An adult and 3 children were crossing the street at a crosswalk at Cleveland Ave and E 25th Ave, when a driver hit them. 2 of these children died.

I am absolutely livid about this, because it was entirely preventable.
-4 lane stroad with 35 mph speed limit, nothing stopping drivers from going well over
-Not a drop of paint marking crosswalks, even though it's close to two schools

No news articles mentioned this, but all mentioned that they stopped in the crosswalk.

Why simply park your car in a when you can dump a couple truckloads of gravel in it, spill some into a storm drain, and block a fire hydrant, in a school zone, on ?

I would love to see the city clean that up and fine them for the cost of labor, plus punitive damages.

    miyelsh,

    @nixCraft
In my mind, it would be "S U do", since it's a shortening of Super User do" i.e. "do as root".

But it just pronounce it like pseudo since that's how I've always heard it as.

My oldest will be commuting to community college next year so she'll be taking my car (a plug-in Prius). My wife has been concerned about us possibly getting a third car BUT I think I might have a better solution: an e-bike.

My current job has me a few miles from the house, and I'm currently exploring remote/hybrid possibilities. Anyone with e-bike experience, what should I be looking for in an e-bike? Anything bikes I should consider or stay away from? I'm in the US if that matters.

If you already have a mountain bike, one thing you can consider is an ebike conversion kit. I have put over 2,000 miles on my BBS02 and it has been fantastic.

Seconding the shift sensor. I just replaced my cassette after 2000 miles, the two smallest gears were worn to the point that they would skip under any load.

I've installed the shift sensor and it means you don't have to stop pedaling every time you shift, instead the motor cuts for a brief moment while the chain hops over.

100% my experience with that particular washroom at the Berlin HBF. Though I did strike up a nice conversation with some people while waiting in line 😁

Abortion is on the ballot in Ohio this November. The whole nation is watching, because this is yet another red state deciding for themselves who can control their reproductive decisions. Polling shows a strong lead for the pro-choice side, but we still need to make our voices heard!

    Vote yes on issue 1!
