On May 28, 2022, I watched the final episode of "Night Sky" Season 1, which had been released 10 days earlier. Since then I've been sad that one of the best shows ever was canceled after only 8 episodes.

Today I signed the petition "Bring Back Night Sky For Season 2" — https://chng.it/95v8kQtkYL — but I have little hope. I just wanted to share this because it's really rare that I sign a petition. And maybe you haven't seen this wonderful show.

I was today years old when I found out that just installing the app "Microsoft PowerToys" from within the app "Microsoft Store" enables the keyboard shortcut Crtl-Win-Alt-V to perform a "paste as plain text (without formatting)" from the clipboard, and now I'm happy.

"Friendly reminder" is the most passive-aggressive phrase I can think of. If someone starts a post with it, I immediately ignore and unfollow that person because it's always meant as a direct insult.

It caught me totally by surprise, and I absolutely loved it. I had seen some Dr. Who with Christopher Eccleston in 2005 who had a companion Rose, but now (same showrunner Russell T. Davies) there's David Tennant playing a recently transitioned male-presenting non-binary with definite article pronouns who has a companion with a daughter Rose, also non-binary and transitioned and played by trans actress Yasmin Finney. Even the #Doctor's opponent the #Meep is a definite article pronouns non-binary.

This text from https://www.instagram.com/p/CzbayGoMhgJ suggests that only "trans*, inter* and non-binary" students can have their first name and gender entry changed, and that they must submit an explicit "declaration trans*/inter*/non-binary" to do that.

If that were true, then all other people would be excluded. I hope it's not true. I would prefer that we all be just normal people and that we don't attribute "abnormal" characteristics to some of us for no reason. Why can't we all change our name and gender?

I need #help (Google and Bing Chat Copilot were no help): I want to delete an iPhone app from Apple Testflight (that I was testing and that I already have deleted from my iPhone) from the list in the Apple Testflight app, too, but I can't get to the "Stop Testing" link, because neither "long press" nor "deep press" nor "swipe right" work in the Testflight app on my iPhone XR. Is there another way to delete an app from the Testflight app, so I don't get update notifications for that app, anymore?

Overall, I quite like Mastodon, but what drives me absolutely, completely, totally, bonkers is how it handles, or rather doesn't handle, post history.

Example: a few weeks ago I posted a question about optimized binary search implementations. The resulting thread contained a lot of really good info from various people. I saved it, thinking I'd go back through it later when I had space for it in my brain.

• When I followed my blog @wolkenstich.wordpress.com@wolkenstich.wordpress.com from @nnz, I got "Following" (following worked).

• But when I followed it from @York I got "Requested" (following didn't work).

So the #mastodon web interface timed out for be about half an hour or so ago, and now the #bluesky web ui is timing out. I wonder whether this has to do with #twitter 's / #X 's announcement that they're going to remove the possibility to #block. An new exodus from Twitter?
