For me, the most dangerous part may be the assumption that the attack is due to a „missunderstanding“ of what sociology really is, as the #ASA put it. Interesting paper on the role of science in policy advising within the European Union. The authors develop 5 scenarios and reflect on their implications and dangers. Overall they argue for an open and participatory science as a basis for sound policy advising avoiding the pitfalls of anti-scientific populism and purportedly neutral expertocracy.

In der Klasse unserer Tochter ist die Gründung einer Eltern-WhatsApp-Gruppe geplant. Jetzt ist Aufklärung mit Fingerspitzengefühl gefragt. Einerseits will man nicht der Bedenkenträger sein, der das ohnehin schon angekratzte Datenschutzbild weiter beschädigt, andererseits ist die Nutzung von WhatsApp gerade im schulischen Kontext einfach nicht in Ordnung.

Würde die #Wagenknecht Clique ihre Mandate niederlegen, gäbe es Nachrückerinnen von den Landeswahllisten, und der Fraktionsstatus bliebe damit erhalten? Sprich auch die Mitarbeiterinnen bis Ende der Legislatur beschäftigt.

Auf die Wagenknecht &Co ja angeblich Rücksicht nehmen und erst im Januar die Fraktion verlassen wollen. Womit dann automatisch der Status Fraktion aberkannt wird?

Welch bodenlose Niedertracht🤬 🤮

These technologies are easily / often used to exploit power imbalances.

This is why it is a use case that must be considered -- even if we have not experienced it ourselves.

There are many people who HAVE experienced the above.

Requiring quotes to be opt-in addresses this problem.

Aktuell nehmen die Länder im Bundesrat übrigens Stellung zu den Empfehlungen des EU-Rates "zu einem europäischen Rahmen, um Forschung, Innovation und unternehmerische Talente in Europa anzuziehen und zu halten". Dabei geht es auch um Arbeitsbedingungen und #Befristung in der Wissenschaft, für die der Rat der EU eine Obergrenze vorschlägt. Absehbar werden die Länder versuchen gerade diesen Aspekt bis zur Bedeutungslosigkeit weichzuspühlen. #IchBinHanna @academicsunite
