Gorgeous hike/run/bike today.
The forecast predicted 70, but I think it only got to the upper 50s so far.

A similar view, but this one is looking south along the Front Range towards the Flatirons. To the right the land rises to the first peaks of the rocky mountains. To the left the land dips to the Boulder Valley and beyond it the plains. Brilliant white clouds scudd across the blue sky. Some patches of snow can be seen hidden in craigs and north-facing valleys on the mountain faces.

@Artemis201 No car, I'll be staying in southern Baseline Sub, I prefer more outdoors stuff (trailrunner!) but some indoors is nice (really enjoy live music, food, art) spending some money is ok.

@ppn Cartier might be my favorite watchmaker, I like so many pieces: Tank Chinoise, Tank Basculante, Tank Asymétrique, Crash, Dice, etc. and also I’d use one as a beater! 😅

Saturday: Did my Duolingo, went for 11km of (+3°C with eventual light rain), picked up some groceries, and then did half an hour of HIIT (so hard).

Worked on stuff most of the afternoon, and about to call it a day. Time for some leftover pizza and maybe a movie.

Friday: 91 seconds of plank, 21.5 km of (-3°C with a windchill of -7°C).

Good run around today; first half-marathon this year. Think I’d kind of built up a mental block around it and decided today was the day. Fastest half in a year, really enjoyed the conditions (cool), even if it was sunny out (I prefer dark or overcast).

Yes, I should have been a vampire.🤣

Another ‘consume’ message from the Gruaniad. I can provide more why you probably don't need one. The main being cost, waste and the fact that with a little care, a modern laptop (say up to 10 years) can provide a good service for years to come. AI - not necessary for most, WiFi - can be boosted with a USB stick, batteries - replaced.

Friday: 150 seconds of plank, 10.1 km of (-7°C with a windchill of -12°C).

Slept an extra two hours, I'm heading into the last official weekend of / on this film.

The run was pretty good, tried a different route, managed to get a good photo of the ice texture (bottom right) that really shows the texture.

Declaring Apple Music bankruptcy; it has made me so unhappy with what's left of the music library I spent 25 years curating that there's just no way to fix it anymore. I've lost my algorithm-seeding play counts, hearts and stars many times over by now. cmd-A, delete 🫡

Firstly, woot! Hit my plank target; figured it was Friday and I should go for it. Sore though.

I honestly hope to see Steam on iOS, with cross-buy, cross-save, and cross-compatibility. We could theoretically see something like Steam's Proton layer add automatic game compatibility with the platform.

Or something like Setapp, with subscription access to bundles of apps.

Alternate app stores aren't simply a bad thing.

@stroughtonsmith I feel they're against the fact that they would send the message that you “need” one, which would constraint the use of the device to a particular space, like a computer does.
