After endless bafflement, trying to figure out the interlocking systems on the backend of my website, I finally fixed the navigation header. It frustrated me for YEARS, way before I bought the company, that it ate up like half the computer screen. ALL THIS TIME, it could have been solved by scaling down the logo size in the website's media library. And I am so proud of myself for fixing it. I've never run a website before, much less tried to make sense of someone else's build.
I'm celebrating! A year and a half after my #bilateralsalpingectomy I finally convinced my #gyn to treat my #endometriosis-like condition that I've been dealing with since I started having periods (and I was only diagnosed at all because the doc saw it during the bisalp). Finally, yesterday, I got my #endometrialablation! It took years of fighting the American medical system and speaking up for myself, but I made it! 🎉
Mastodon was my first introduction to the fediverse, so I just went with the starter instance. Now that it's been a few weeks and I'm becoming accustomed to how things work, I'm wondering if it's time for me to seek out something more specific. Any thoughts, #fediverse? Should I migrate?
@raika_amaris it just depends on if you want to find another instance in hopes that the local feed and other members are focused on xyz in the instance in particular. I have found a lot of good people and people have found me just by posting certain topics and using certain hashtags. 🤷♂️
Firefish and Lemmy and Pixelfed are some other different Fediverse projects you can try to if you haven't already
