I've been waiting for a specialized appointment for my daughter for 2 years, finally got it, but then told I need another appointment: no contact number, and no idea about delays. Just waiting for a call.

This morning, I received a letter regarding a specialized appointment for myself (a life-threatening condition), for which I've been waiting for over a year. They lied that they tried to reach me, and removed me from the waitlist.

    All the people I interact with for my hobby of Magic: The Gathering are on Facebook. If I canโ€™t talk to them via some kind of interop service if I delete my Facebook account, I will not be able to talk to them. I do not like Facebook. The people I want to talk to are there. DO YOU SEE THE PROBLEM?

    @amy @alexhillman Thanks Amy. And I appreciate your perspective on the consulting thing. The problem I have PERSONALLY is that I always seem to put my clients in front on my own needs. I LIKE to make people happy and it means that when I was faced with the choice before between coding for customers and shipping my own thing I kept not shipping.

    It might be different this time given where my head is at, but I really don't want to not ship again.

    You can write all the tests you want: Production will always find ways to show you the raised middle finger.

    And if it's only by sending broken UTF-8 encoding.

    and that doesn't mean tests are useless! It only means you have to expect failures! No matter how large your testsuite is!

    And each of these raised middle fingers extends your testsuite to make sure you aren't bitten again by the same issue.

    But believe me: Production will find something else ๐Ÿ˜
