@PaulBaldowski I’m calling my setting “Tōkaidō Nights” which will be be Edo period Samurai, Merchants and Gaijin travelling on the road between Edo and Kyoto, facing various challenges on the way and staying at a different inn every night.

Riding the Low are one of my favourite bands, with Paddy Considine’s tantalisingly obtuse lyrics being a highlight. The end section of this song gets me every time - it’s the line “When in rapture I die, when in daylight too bright” that does it.

What a career!

My favourite film of his seems to be one hardly anyone else has seen. He was under full prosthetics and still gave a stellar, heart-rending performance.
