@pbump It's just an allegation. And there's no reason to believe it's substantive. A piece of paper that records an allegation isn't evidence that the allegation is true. And these Republicans know it. Their goal is to hold Wray in contempt of Congress, and this piece of paper is just something they're using to achieve that goal.

    People have a right to express views you don't agree with. Businesses have a right to carry products that appeal to people you don't like. Attempting to eliminate views and people you don't agree with or understand makes you a fascist in opposition to everything our nation was founded on, and everything our flag represents.     @TomWellborn I don't understand why the people who claim that Biden is too old to be president don't apply that thinking to Trump. Biden is only like 3 years older than Trump, and he is in significantly better health than Trump. Biden regularly bikes around DC, and is in good physical condition. Trump subsists on a diet of burnt steak, and McDonald's, and the only exercise he gets is walking from his golf cart to the tee. It's just absurd.

    @StillIRise1963 Rural people are so weird. I grew up in a major metropolitan suburb where people of virtually every demographic lived happily side by side. I was white, my best friend was black, and other friends in my group were Puerto Rican, Italian, Irish, and mixed heritage. It wasn't until I ventured out into the world that I witnessed cartoonish acts of racism, and ignorant bigotry. And it was a shock. I guess I just don't understand how people can be so dumb and hateful in 2023.

You could always define a demographic in a way that supports your point, but I was speaking in general terms, in relation to other minority demos, and in relation to comperable heterosexual groupings.

    @DemocracyMattersALot This is a naked attempt to subvert the will of the people, and engineer election outcomes the Republicans deem "acceptable". If Republicans win the election, no action will be taken. But if the Democrats win, then the Republicans will have to step in and correct the voters' error. This is authoritarianism, plain and simple.

    Facts: In 2020, Trump lost the Electoral College, the popular vote by over 7 million, every vote recount in Republican and Democratic states, and some 60 legal challenges before both Republican and Democratic judges. No fraud.

    This is the American “right”, though. They want to “take America back.”

If Jesus came back today, Christian nationalists would line up to call him a woke socialist who wants to groom children.
