While I understand the sentiment here, it’s also, well, telling Black folks not to write the way we speak. We actually DO that clapping between words for emphasis, and the emojis are the way those are represented online.

I decided to start listening to podcasts again, and cracked open Overcast, the app I used to use, and noticed a banner ad at the bottom.

As I’ve reached the point where adds make me just irrationally angry, I went to see if there was a version of the app I could buy without ads.

…You have to sign up for a yearly subscription to get rid of ads.

Subscriptions (aka “technofeudalism”) make me angrier than ads. So back to the default Apple app it is. Eff this.

As much as I’m looking forward to moving to a bigger place, the one thing I’m not looking forward to is having to use stairs again. My knees do not enjoy stairs, and last time I was looking for a place, I intentionally wore my knee braces to the rental place so it would be very obvious why I wanted a place with an elevator. 😖
