"We launched a product and we don't care about what works and what doesn't."

Sounds unacceptable to you? To me too. But that doesn't mean I want to creep on you to figure it out.

Here's what to expect on @matrix's website

Hot take: when organising an event, vegan catering is the most inclusive option.

If you take DEI seriously, there should at the very least be vegan options.

Drop us a line if you'd like to meet and chat about open digital infrastructure, technology, and public interest funding!

"Governance" might sound like the least exciting thing about an OSS project, but it's what makes the difference between a project that scales and a project that fails.

All I have is "apes together strong" from the Planet of the Apes, but it's very meh.

Currently emailing the DPO of Netflix to get a better understanding of whether or not they're sharing personal data with third party advertisers even when the customer is on a non-ad-supported plan, for a blog post.

If you’re interested in what’s happening behind the scenes, I put together my notes on the CRM we chose to manage our membership and published it on my blog. Surprise: the one we picked wasn’t in the list of solutions we had evaluated 🤯

My reaction when I open a product that shouldn't have AI and probably doesn't actually have AI, but shoves a "Unlock your full potential with {{ feature_name }} AI" pop up to my face as soon as I open the software.

Calm down product managers, the overwhelming majority of products are better without AI, and being a liar surfing on fads doesn't make you sound smart.

The amount of invisible work that goes into something as seemingly trivial as a roadmap is unreal.

You need to have a solid mission statement and understanding of your ecosystem’s needs, translate that into programs and projects, do a budget and prioritise, know your audiences and what resonates with them, share concisely what you’re going to do, why it matters, and how your audiences can contribute to making it happen.

That’s A LOT of work, but it’s well worth it.

The best way to make me not consider a product is to force me to give my email or phone number to a sales department.

Before subscribing services I do a comparison of what’s on the market, and the last thing I want is a dozen of sales persons chasing me.

    What I want is to:

    • see a list of features
    • try the product and be left alone if I’m not asking for help
    • see the pricing model transparently

In the past months I started developing back and neck pain from staying at my desk on a computer all day.

I recently bought a JÄRVFJÄLLET from Ikea, and it's been a life changer. My back and neck pain almost disappeared overnight!

I can't recommend enough getting a good chair. If you can afford it, do yourself a favour and get a nice chair that respects your body.
