@HamonWry @GrimmReality has some amazing natural places but less every year. There have been proposals to privatize state parks, and to limit public access to some beaches. If I didn’t live here, in a spectacular community, I would boycott the state.

So our power was out for two days after barely touched us. supplies us with because . They unplugged their neighborhood infrastructure from commercial power and into a generator this morning. This evening, power was restored () and the Harbor Freight generator ran out of fuel. What kinds of laws am I breaking if I get a ladder and plug Comcast back into the grid?

Occasionally on Mastodon, I will have a run in with someone who still deals in Sexism, racism and homophobia. It just seems like it hits harder here, because I view this as a safe place to be myself. Sometimes the ugliness in the world overwhelms me, and the way I cope with it is by reminding myself of the beauty and kindness in the world.

So, if you feel like it, share something nice, could be a news story, a fact, a photo, or a personal story, anything positive or at least turned out positive.

Seriously, being able to share with all of you, and being so openly embraced by this community has been an unusual privilege in the world of social media. I hope we all keep striving to make this an equitable and fun place.

We are in the western (less intense) edge of the hurricane. When I fell asleep last night it was heading directly toward us. We have been very lucky.

TIL there's yet another majorly problematic source of air pollution in my neighborhood:
