Glacier Peak Backpacking: Day 1

The first photo is the view from near my camp on Cloudy Pass. Today has been incredible but tough. Hiked 20 miles with 6400’ elevation gain. This is not like the PCT, it’s rough trails that go straight up for hours. But i’m so happy, I wanted an epic long weekend and Glacier Peak Wilderness is providing that in spades so far.

„Physics Girl“ - One of my favorite channels. I just would like to remember, this video was made 5 months ago! And Dianna is still suffering from Long COVID. This disease is really bad, and many people who suffer from it still suffer in silence because it is brought to the public far too little.

I hope all the people suffering from Long COVID will soon get more attention through effective help.

Well there's no doubt about it, there's a wasp nest in one of my soffits. I'm trying to not freak out about it. I think it's probably fine to leave them alone and just let winter take care of them in a few months. It's above my front door, but it's in the soffit two stories up in the air. So I think they won't bother anyone. I just hope they can't get into my house. It'd be stupid if you could get into my attic from the soffit right? right?!

There's something that's happened recently over at the , which is the national organization for the USA.

ARRL identified, by name, clubs and organizations that produce educational videos as "being in competition with" the ARRL "Learning Center".

ARRL then retaliated against these clubs and organizations, calling them up and stating that these organizations would be excluded from ARRL publications and partnerships

Firsthand, and are affected.

This is bad.

There seems to be an almost universal belief among those folk that their assets mean that they are also very intelligent, when, in general, I’ve found the opposite to be true.

Burning Man is declared a national emergency within hours. The National Guard is being sent in because 50,000 people don’t have shelter and food.

500,000 homeless in cities all over the USA however is not a national emergency.

It’s not the concentration. There are 65,000 in LA alone. 60,000 in NYC.

What’s the difference?
