I wonder if I'm being overly aggressive on my bike on walking trails. I always cede the way, give a good berth when I pass, and ring my bell. However, sometimes I feel like I'm startling people.

@JohnJBurnsIII the people will earbuds I don't think I'm bothering. I go around them and they pay me no mind. It's more the old ladies or people with young kids taking up the whole road.

They tend to be the ones that look surprised.

I'm concerned with the fact that the docs don't list this field and people who use forms recognize way way more than me agree it's weird this field starts showing up

Nuance is good for this project but I need to know what outputs to expect

Just showed the kids Windows 95 running in a browser (🤯) and the thing they were amazed about is how clean it was. No toolbars everywhere, no junk in the task bar, nothing that looked like ads, etc. It's sad how things have evolved.

An office worker who spends their time processing insurance claims and billing receipts, explained to me the difficult times held "in the medical industry" with shortages and long hours.

To quote, "I had MANDATORY overtime. I didn't get home last week until almost 4:30!"

Not quite the stance I would have made, but perhaps I'm being unreasonable.

@mentallyalex there is so much waste of manpower in medical accounting. It's all about throwing a bill over the fence and then letting the patient or insurance fight it. Providers and insurance could probably automate and get rid of so many accountants if they weren't playing defense with each other all the time

The worst video games aren’t the ones with micro-transactions. I’m not excusing them—just saying they’re not the worst.

The games that are actually the worst are those games that exist so that achievement hunters can get 500+ achievements just by launching the game. You see, those games just use flipped assets and outright plagiarism. Too often, they’re unplayable.

Thing is, these shitty games don’t exist because some bean counter at Ubisoft wants to nickel and dime gamers. Not at all. These shitty games exist because some guy in Russia has figured out that Steam, itself, is the game that achievement hunters actually want to play.

    I was sent to my grandma when I was five to be "tamed" because I was a hellion. My grandma was a classic Peranakn lady who could cook like a dream, wore the most beautiful kebayas and totally adored me.
    She also swore like a sailor.
    I'm not sure if I was ever tamed, but I came back home a year later with rather interesting vocabulary.
    I have since expanded said vocabulary.
    So much so that my comedian friend said "I blush when you talk and I'm supposed to be the comedian!"
