Can I just say, it is infuriating that #YouTube search doesn't honour any of the Google search operators. Wrapping a specific search term in quote marks should work, damn it, as should using a dash to exclude words. Apparently it once did, but it sure don't now.
Another video @gwssrox tries to make folks think he's endorsed by luminaries in the retro community. Rather that continue to fake #YouTube views, you'd think he'd be focused on staying out of jail?

nigdzie nie napisalem, ze DJowanie samo przez siebie oznacza prawo do rozpowszechniania :P DJ kupuje utwor (lub dostaje od tworcy, ale to szczegolny przypadek) i to daje mu prawo do rozpowszechniania gdzie chce i jak chce (moze w pierwszym toocie zastosowalem skrot myslowy, ktory dla mnie jest oczywisty)
podobnie ma sie sprawa z nosnikiem fizycznym z produkcjami klubowymi (utwory z gatunku pop i taka Madonna mnie teraz nie interesuja) - masz CD lub vinyl z danym utworem = mozesz go grac, algorytmy YT moga spadac na drzewo
edit: dobry przyklad to remiksy kawalkow Depeche Mode - na oficjalnych wydaniach samych Depeszow czesto znajdowaly sie remiksy, DJe czesto grywali je w klubach, wszystko bylo oficjalne i legalne... ale jestem prawie pewien, ze jakby algorytm na YT trafil na taki remix Enjoy the Silence w secie to livestream by spadl xD

How exactly does the #YouTube app manage to get worse with every single update? The latest, when casting to Chromecast I cannot setup a queue selectively. It just plays my whole watch later queue at once, as though it were not casting.
Is there some 3rd party YouTube client or something? Seriously, as someone trained in usability and 25 years of software dev experience, I am personally and professionally offended by how much they keep breaking this damned app.

Quería preguntar a la comunidad, sobre un problema que hay en el #RojavaAzadiMadrid, colectivo de solidaridad con #Kurdistan tiene un canal de Youtube donde cuelga documentales y vídeos subtitulados al castellano, es una de las labores que hace el colectivo para difundir información sobre un tema aún poco conocido. El tema es que a veces algunos de eso vídeos tienen copyright y #Youtube no los deja publicar. Nos gustaría encontrar una plataforma alternativa donde poder subir esos vídeos para que sean accesibles.
¿Se os ocurre alguna plataforma libre dónde sea posible hacer esto?

YouTube has this new screensaver mode that dropped today for me where it shows a thumbnail of some theme like, “Acrylic Pouring Techniques” or “New York City Drone” and UI encouraging you to “press up to play”. It’s slightly annoying because it now overrides the art screensaver that I set up as my default Apple TV screensaver.
Pressing up plays a video associated with the listed theme. I wonder how much the video creators got paid for this? 🤔 #YouTube#weird#screensaver
What @Vivaldi don't say in their release blog post of version 6.7 today: if you use the updated Vivaldi Feed Reader to watch subscribed youtube channel videos, you don't get to see any ads. Not sure how long this will work until Google shuts shuts this circumvention down, but right now if you're sick and tired of youtube ads, just use Vivaldi's feed reader (it's a great browser/mail program for everything else anyway)
Note that if you do that, you may want to consider other ways to support the folks who produce the videos, (which is generally the case with adblocking. There's no such thing as a free lunch. Make sure that people who create things you enjoy get something in return).

As you may know I am not a big fan (at all!) of #YouTube "reaction videos". But I just stumbled into a young (apparently Irish) woman working her way through the original "The Prisoner" -- and she was on the last episode "Fall Out".
She said "Holy Mother of God!" at least twice during the episode, and at the end, discussing the entire series, "What an absolute piece of art this was!" Indeed. Welcome to the club! You will never be the same.
@tcely Normally I find them unwatchable. But when I first stumbled into her viewing the first episode I decided to see how she felt about the last one. By that time, of course, she was fully versed in the entire saga, to the point that she was quickly catching the important hints and cues. And she was loving every minute of it and didn't want it to end. She got it. Which is a testament to McGoohan of course. Almost 60 years since the show originally aired, and it still impacts with a timelessness that still works. A piece of art, indeed.
