Been using Spotify since 2006, but now that I have been using Apple Music for a couple of months I think there is no going back. What I love in Pandora and Apple Music is that I can just play my own Station that plays songs endlessly. Most of the time I don't know what to listen, I like to shuffle everything I might like without much thought.
Spotify concentrates on playlists and as a hard core music fanatic those playlists get easily worn out.
Apple Music and Pandora focus on finding new music and shuffling without limits. In Spotify you always have to have Playlist.
Been using various platforms and been trying out different ways to listen my whole life and thankfully all of these listens are combined to one profile at https://www.last.fm/user/rolle- - from @lastfm I can always find my songs.
#AppleMusic#music#indiemusic There are a lot of great artists sharing their music on Apple Music and Mastodon. Started a playlist of some of my favorites including #dgar#kydia#songwriteam Andre Louis and others. Let me know what you think. Hopefully I will add more each week.
Apple Music has released its inaugural list of the 100 best albums of all time. Lauryn Hill's "The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill"came in at No. 1, sparking some debate by music fans who thought Michael Jackson's "Thriller" was a more worthy winner. Here's a story from the Independent about the list. We want to know, which of these DIDN'T make the top 10?
I’ve added a few more tunes to the play list. Quite a variety of styles from #riverrat#crowslabyrinth#thiccquid. Have a listen and enjoy.

I want to drop music streaming services altogether and buy more music but there are a few major hurdles I face with this. Maybe y’all might have suggestions on how to make these easier. 🧵
I know my survey found Bandcamp to be the preferred music link option, and not everyone has Apple Music, but I couldn't find this on Bandcamp, and I love this song.
Happy #NewMusic Friday! My new retro country autobiographical ballad "Son, Tell Jesus You're Straight (The Ballad of a Kid Named Ren)" is now available!
It's a song about my dad's efforts to straighten my bi-ass out over the years. Hope you enjoy!
For everyone on the iOS 17.3 beta, I’ve created an #AllThingsTech collaborative Apple Music playlist. Let’s create a killer list of music we can jam to while working, chilling, or anything.
Thought of something I’d like in #AppleMusic that I guess #AI could probably provide: Sometimes I want to play specific types or styles of music from an artist or genre.
Example: I really like Polyphia’s instrumental tracks, but I’m usually not into the collabs they do with vocalists. I like all of AJR’s music, but sometimes I only want to hear their songs that lean electronic or use samples.
Tried the #AppleMusic app for #Windows, and the best thing I can say about it is that it plays music. The Microsoft-Word-inspired, unergonomic "access keys" often don't work, pressing Enter on a track doesn't cause it to play, it doesn't show the currently playing track in the title bar, and volume changes are jumpy. Credit to the troll who managed to get Backspace in there for deleting tracks from playlists though.
100.Body Talk, Robyn
99.Hotel California, Eagles
98.ASTROWORLD, Travis Scott
97.Rage Against the Machine, Rage Against the Machine
96.Pure Heroine, Lorde
95.Confessions, USHER
94.Untrue, Burial
93.A Seat at the Table, Solange
92.Flower Boy, Tyler, The Creator
91.Listen Without Prejudice Vol. 1, George Michael
Bought PlexPass and decided I would try Tidal again because they give Plex people a discount. Honestly I’ve been using it for 15min and already I much prefer how Tidal handles favorited artists/music over Apple Music. In that 15 min I’ve been able to find all the artists I listen to and more. Apple Music always seemed to obscure your favorites and it was much more difficult to find something to listen to without search. #Plex#Tidal#AppleMusic#PlexAmp
I have an album in #AppleMusic with a few songs marked as favorite. I cannot find a way to tell Siri to play or shuffle just those songs. Has anyone else?
Like “play my favorite songs from X album”
Nothing. It either shuffles the whole album or starts playing whatever songs from across the artist’s catalog. Seriously? #Apple
Anyone got a good, simple random album player shortcut for Apple Music? Something where you can prod a shortcut and then Apple Music will start playing a random album? (I don’t need/want anything with confirmations, album pickers, etc.)
