Landemaine, a baker, now owns five busy boulangeries in Paris, with more on the way in other French cities, all serving entirely dairy-free products to a mostly local clientele.
Not that he advertises the absence of #butter, or #eggs, or cows' #milk, in his shops. Indeed, the word "vegan" never crosses his lips.
‘It's not an easy word for French people to get used to. It's very difficult for them to give up on butter and eggs,’ he acknowledged, explaining that the idea of veganism is considered too ‘militant’ for many.”
Apparently this very flat #croissant is a new #TrendySnack. It involves #baking a croissant the regular way, flattening it, then cooking it again until crispy. It was actually pretty tasty, but the idea still seems a little weird.
I haven't tested croissants for a while. This is a solid 8/10. It could have been more crunchy.

Der Weckdienst wurde heute von zwei lästigen Stubenfliegen und einem Motorrasenmäher 🔊übernommen. Gestern haben wir uns noch gefragt, wann der Gärtner sich mal wieder betätigen will.
Hier wird gleich gebacken: Rotweinkuchen und Lachs Röllchen als kulinarischer Beitrag zum Straßenfest. Das findet jeden Sommer von der Nachbarschaft selbst organisiert statt.

Gestern Abend wurde der letzte Draht zum Vogel gekappt - es war ein tränenreicher Abschied von der Flauschbubble.
Abends noch Bauausschuss - ein Investor will in einer größeren Baulücke dringend benötigten bezahlbaren Wohnraum schaffen. Die Meinungen darüber gehen im Ort weit auseinander, es war schon von Sozialghetto die Rede, obwohl noch nicht mal Sozialbindung geplant ist.
