Da ich Science Fiction Romane schreibe, erstelle ich mir oft zur Inspiration Darstellungen von Sternsystemen mit Planeten als Referenz und verwende dafür AI-Unterstützung. #autorenleben#selfpublisher#midjourney
When we teach WW1 history and show photographs of men in the trenches, and no one knows if they are real or midjourney fake then we are in deep trouble. Or teach scientific principles through research papers and don't know if the text is authentic human created or response engine output, we are in deep trouble. Imagine a hundred other contexts and you understand why gen ai is such a massive problem.
I'm using AI to generate placeholder images in my game's layout (good for feel & tone). I'll replace them with actual human creations later.
It's hard, because AI REALLY doesn't "understand" anything. So if it's not standard (i.e. the crap we come up with for games) it's gonna get tripped up.
This is one of those mistakes, but also it's SO DAMN CUTE I had to share.
I'm not sure what game these 4 belong in, but I'm confident I want to play it.
i've been trying to get a crowd of humans & giant rats. #Midjourney was like "no! All rats or All people or all Anthropmorphic Rats! NO MIXING!" I should have stopped when i was behind.
BUT, SOMEHOW. EVENTUALLY I convinced it to give me human people AND anthropomorphic rats - & 1 largish rat. At this point, i was like "fuck it. close enough" But one human's head was AI glitchy BS. So, I told it to redraw that section as a "tall white man". See that "Little John" lookin' brown rat dude ? 🤦♀️
I am a bit nostalgic about the very early days of AI image generation. You know, shortly after that Google experiment that drew puppy heads everywhere, and before Midjourney’s strive for ultr-realism.
Those days, models hallucinated most of the time, but that was the cool thing about them - you never knew what would come out, and the results were always abstract, leaving interpretation to the viewer (like most art).
