Bought something I really wanted when I was a kid: a classic #Palm#PDA. This one is Palm IIIx, released in 1999. It's powered by the Motorola DragonBall EZ processor running the 68000 instruction set at blistering 16 megahertz, served by whopping 4 megabytes of RAM. It runs off two AAA batteries which can last up to a month or two. The monochrome UI is controlled by a stylus, and it uses a simple handwriting system called Graffiti. #Retrocomputing#PalmOS#3Com#HandheldPC
We love nature, even one located under a glass roof. This is a huge strelitzia (our favorite houseplant), commonly known as the Bird of Paradise Plant. I took this photo in Amsterdam, at one of the oldest botanical gardens in the world called Hortus Botanicus, which was founded in 1638. 🪴🪴🪴
"Moreover, researchers have also discovered that it’s probably mathematically impossible to secure the training data for a large language model like #GPT-4 or #PaLM 2. This was outlined in a research paper that Google themselves tried to censor, an act that eventually led the Google-employed author, El Mahdi El Mhamdi, to leave the company. The paper has now been updated to say what the authors wanted it to say all along, and it’s a doozy."
I've forgotten some. There's seeds on a pineapple, and on a Banana. Both are likely sterile but I tried each without success.
Right now, I am growing daffodils from last year's seeds.
I've started one or two pots of all my varieties of tomatoes to see what starts. They should be able to go out in the greenhouse in a few weeks.
