The retro appeal of Charing Cross Station in London is full of nostalgia, and the age-old brickwork makes the station timeless!

Some impressions from today’s visit to Hallstatt in Upper Austria. The scenery was as grand as ever, but the place is plagued by overtourism to an extent that is almost as bad as in Kyoto. 🤒

Two images which are already a month old when it was still somewhat cold. But I thought they're worth posting anyway. 🤔

A mountain. There are trees on the lower part while the upper part shows much naked rocks. The sky is cloudy.

Day trip today to Soumenlinna, the inhabited sea fortress about 4 km southeast of the city center of Helsinki. Weather was perfect, and the place very interesting - a really pleasant area for walking.

More photos taken around the Castle Museum of Saginaw County History, featuring the hallway, spiraling staircase, a model of a carousel, statue of Abraham Lincoln, an early 20th Century car, post office, and my favorite area: A reconstruction of the Myer Bros. Jewelry Store (1914-1974) which I believe is still the original cabinets, along with some photos of some wares. Shot in June 2023.

Moja pierwsza widziana na żywo. Ależ to było piękne zjawisko 😍

My first seen live. What a beautiful phenomenon it was 😍

Now what? Is it 3.5 seconds after 9, half a minute after 9 or about quarter of an hour after 9?

Or is it a quarter of an hour and half a minute and 3.5 seconds, i.e. 18 minutes and 33.5 seconds after 9?

Hmm… 🤔 At least, this clock has a correct "IV” and not “IIII”. 🤣

And yes, my camera was straight when I took the shot. The clock is really tilted in reality.

I had some consular stuff to do early yesterday morning at the German embassy in Hiroo, which gave me an opportunity to take a stroll (and some photos) in the adjacent Arisugawa-no-miya Memorial Park. Had left home on an empty stomach, so afterwards headed to the nearby “HauS Bake & Cafe” and tried their “Special Morning Plate” which was quite satisfying.😋
