Can anyone help me to understand how I need to set up #internet and #streaming services so I can eliminate cable?
I have been considering this for sometime, and working on it. With Roger’s takeover of Shaw, the wifi is no longer cooperating with their provided tv box. It has to be hardwired. This among a list of other issues are securing my interest in alternative access to entertainment.

Dass Netflix 4K-Auflösung ans teure Familienabo bindet, konnten Singles dank Account-Sharing verkraften. Eine Frechheit, dass diese Möglichkeit nur wegfällt.
Die letzte Folge der Serie #TheOrville gesehen und ohne zu spoilern, mich hat die Serie nahezu auf ganzer Linie überzeugt.
Die Abschlussfolge war humorvoll mit Niveau, zeigte was alle Trekkis immer schon mal sehen wollten und hielt liebevoll der Menschheit einen Spiegel vor.
So ähnlich hatte ich mir eine würdige #StarTrek Serie vorgestellt die zwischen heut und morgen vermittelt. Discovery wirkte dagegen auf mich wie eine vor Pathos triefende Orgie von Effekthaschereien.
Weil es gestern häufig angefragt wurde: Ja, es wird einen Artikel zum Amazon FireTV-Stick geben inkl. Einstellungsempfehlungen und Blocklisten, für einen datenschutzfreundlicheren Gebrauch. Werde auch kurz Disney+ streifen - das lässt sich nämlich ohne Personenbezug nutzen.

Dites, vue que faire des streams c'est "un peu" compliqué la plupart du temps, j'enregistrerais bien des let's play à l'ancienne. Sauf que je sais pas vers quel logiciel me tourner pour enregistrer tout ça. Vous auriez des pistes à me fournir ? Honnêtement ça doit faire 10 ou 11 que j'ai plus rien enregistré pour youtube donc je suis paumé.

Went back to DVDs (on my PC), after one too many evenings dealing with advertising in the middle of free streamed movies. ("free" i.e. paid for by that advertising). Amazon Prime used to be not-so-bad, but it's terrible now. I forgot how awesome it is to NOT BE INTERRUPTED in the middle of key movie scenes. Borrowing them from the library, and buying some of the ones I'll watch multiple times from thrift stores/library sales. #movies#streaming#DVDs

Not sure when I'll be streaming again next. Going to play it by ear and put less pressure on myself to keep to a schedule. I'll probably just decide on the day if I want to do it or not.
