Wow this book is great! I didn't know about necropolitics before, and now I've got a clear explanation of this new (to me) concept and its connection to sentimentality. Now I can explain why pleas for greater empathy for children's suffering is problematic if they are not connected to the expansion of children's agency (not "interests") and adult's responsibilities toward children (not paternalism or "deciding what's best").

"There is so much love in Palestine " the Makdisi brothers talk with Dr. Nadera Shalhoub-Kevorkian

An impressive podcast with Dr. Nadera Shalhoub-Kevorkian talking about the colonisation of Palestine, the crimes of IL, the body and body parts, power, necrocapitalism, and the life and affirmation of Palestinian life that grows out of all this.

I can only underwrite the core proposition of this video that is all about the future not only of , but the great majority of people that have no say in decisions and politics that determine their living conditions.

Here we have the testing ground of technologies whose innovative potential is not inaccidentaly characterized by their "disruptive" impact on historically grown structures of socialization.

Watching postapocalyptical scenes in where thousands of people concentrated on a tiny trip of land run around to find something to eat, to get medical help or to just evade the dangers of war you know that they are at the receiving end of those innovation dynamics that represent the remaining lifeblood of capital reproduction in times of environmental catastrophe.

While late stage has lesser and lesser material goods to offer in exchange for wage work the commodification of life as such by extractivisim but also by objectifying human bodies is more important than ever.

Palestian lives are commodified firstly in terms of killing a population in the open view of the whole world. The sheer fact that this genocide can go on unintervented and unpunished shifts legal norms into new dimensions of annihilating people under the legalistic cover of national self-defence and anti-terrorism. This is not a paradigm shift regarding former imperialistic wars in the region but moves on on a scale with open end to the top thereby establishing a precedent for imperalistic wars that other governments can rely on.

Secondly their lives are commodified as test objects in a large-scale experiment where new technologies of can be explored and invented under real life conditions.

That is of significant importance for the implementation of -driven methods rationalizing human needs for cheaper ways of scarcity management, extracting more work per unit and accumulating capital by the "immaterial" practices of digital or platform capitalism - calls it "technofeudalism" claiming that conventional capitalism has outlived itself by a value production that is based on data and informations.

So Palestinians are marked as surplus life not only expendable for the functioning of Israel's HighTech capitalism but written off as negative factor in terms of business location logics. What happens to them is already happening to many people in the Global South being rejected as refugees by the bloody borders of the "First World" and will be performed on the masses that have to flee catastrophe and hunger by soil degeneration in the future.

Imo anticipating the vectors of techno-administrative logics is a good argument for social movements that clarify for everyone to understand that your subjugation is the purpose of the exemplary unleashing of executive state power witnessed in where social war is as real as it gets.

"Why is the US far right finding its savior in Spanish dictator Francisco Franco?" by Jason Wilson ()

"Some US far-right figures have made renewed attempts to rehabilitate the 20th century Spanish dictator Gen Francisco Franco in recent months, praising him as an avatar of religious authoritarianism, and praising his actions during and after the Spanish civil war as a model for confronting the left in the US."

"The critics of this flurry of neo-Francoism say that the real target of this revisionism is domestic attitudes to US democracy."

"For Faber, parts of the the American right are captured by “the dream of order, where social order is more important than democracy, and democracy is a threat to social order”."
