Sometimes you just have to work with a view.

Today I had planned to catch the sunrise, but I ended up seeing something far rarer: a Brocken spectre. This divine phenomenon only occurs in quite specific atmospheric conditions. The viewer has to be in a position where they are higher than the clouds with strong sunlight shining down behind them. I had been hoping to see one for years.

Attended my first event at Walkers are Welcome walking festival at Winchcombe in the Cotswolds. Bus to an organic vegetable nursery, a tour and then walk back to Winchcombe. Fantastic weather and stunning views with all the wild flowers left to flourish.

Inside the nursery viewing the organic tomatoes. They grow from January to October. These were about 10 foot long as they trail them along hanging lines.
The Langley Rover created in 2021 to replace the one that fell down.
View of wildflower meadows.

Here’s a pano view of Southern Oregon’s Rogue Valley from my back veranda. Easy to see why I spend a lot of time hanging out there. You should see it at night.

Yesterday we celebrated Richard’s birthday and avoided all things coronation with a lovely 10mile walk across the Malverns in scorching sunshine and with these epic views… 😅

I've been away from desktop PCs for so long that I don't have a good instinct for what's reasonable any more (my current desktop PC is from 2010!!!).

Is this a reasonable configuration for photo editing and light coding? i7-13700 w/ 64GB + RTX 3050 8GB, 512GB SSD (+ 8TB HDD for large files, + optical drive). Looking at ~$1500 (US).

rushvora,

@jbqueru Are you buying retail or building it yourself? Something to get started with - https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Superfrag/saved/#view=BFXJwP

If you keep an eye on /r/buildapcsales, you can get great deals on SSDs (and other parts, more occasionally).

I think I'm overshooting your budget, but I feel the 3060Ti is a better choice for $/performance.

Case, cooler, SMPS, up to you.
