I need a new place for my domains/DNS. is becoming too expensive. Where would you move your domains when you want to be sure it is in the EU and allows for full control of even weird DNS records, ideally by just uploading a BIND zone file? No discussions, please. Just suggestions. I think that 10-15€ per domain/year should be the max.

UPDATE: made my decision, domains are moving.

CodingThunder,
@CodingThunder@mastodon.social avatar

@jwildeboer Cloudflare advertises that they sell domains without any fee other than what the tld charges them. https://developers.cloudflare.com/registrar/

Why not them? Genuine Q as I have never dealth with domain registration before

@ionica I've been meaning to send you a photo of this for ages - a while ago I saw some Karin Luiten books and aprons on sale, so bought them for my kids. I thought she might like to know that she's inspiring kids to cook in the North-East of England!

Today we're making pizzas 🧑‍🍳🍕

@christianp @ionica might be a weird Q, but why add CWs to food?

CodingThunder,
@CodingThunder@mastodon.social avatar

@christianp @ionica Never thought of it this way. Thanks!

Also nice to see you hiding your child's face, many parents just usually share their personal lives online without a thought! I find it really disturbing how much parents share about their underage children without a single thought.

This might be weird to say, but Zed is pretty slow to start up the first time.

CodingThunder,
@CodingThunder@mastodon.social avatar

@khalidabuhakmeh They use GPU for rendering, so it might be compiling the shaders or something (i have no idea how gpu rendering works, so take this with a pile of salt)

Also doesn't JB spend a lot of time too on indexing the project? 🤨

CodingThunder,
@CodingThunder@mastodon.social avatar

@khalidabuhakmeh Yes I know what happens under the hood. Was just pulling your leg for complaining about Zed being slow to start for first time :)

I too have to leave NeoVim open for some time before hand so that LSP servers index it by the time I am ready to edit any code for large C++ projects.

Thermonator, the first "flamethrower-wielding robot dog," is completely legal in 48 US states.
