Spotted a #Cybertruck in town the other day. If you think that it looks strange in photographs, it is downright hideous in person.

It’s the perfect vehicle for people who grew up on a daily diet of Fox News FUD (fear, uncertainty, & doubt).

It is designed to look like an urban assault vehicle; to broadcast the message that none of us is safe and that we need to protect ourselves from our fellow citizens.

My #ThinkPad A475 has the touchpad/touchpoint device on the PS/2 bus, and whenever the battery dies, my touchpad is no longer recognized in Linux - ANY Linux.

How do I wake up the PS/2 bus in Linux and get my touchpad back?

The only remedy thus far has been to boot to a Windows install ISO.

Hey #musicians of the Fediverse: I’m a big lover of #music, but I’ve only ever studied it as a kid, and I have a question that’s been eating at me for years now:

The end of “Leave the Door Open,” features a drum pattern heard in a LOT of classic R&B tunes. The best I can liken it to is a “slow march,” with the bass doing a four on the floor and the snare hitting on every beat, usually joined by a tambourine.

Is there a NAME for this pattern (or at least a better way of describing it)?

EV folks, I live in #Philly. My car just catastrophically failed today. There is an affordable Nissan Leaf I want but the charging stations are kind of a pain to get to and I live in an apartment complex. I think I can run an extension cord out to charge the car, however its not certain. There are some electric chargers at work but there is no guarantee that they will be available. There appears to be adapters for Tesla chargers that can do fast charge but I can't tell if they only convert to level 2 or not.
We are trying to weigh if its worth the annoyance or not. what do you think?
