I've been a little quiet lately; early on Saturday the 6th my little companion, my bun Moppet suddenly passed away while quietly loafed. I suspect a stroke or heart attack.

It's still very raw, and it felt a little too soon to find another bun, but not too soon for another bun to need me, so here's little nameless void for now. He's about 12 weeks old, extremely black from ears to paws to eyes and all in between.

He's got relaxation down pat already, I think we'll be OK.

When the “Neri Oxman admits to plagiarism story” broke, I reached out to a board member I knew at BI, and to its controlling shareholders, the co-ceos of KKR, and to Mathias Döpfner, the Chairman and CEO of Axel Springer. I assumed that with a call or two, I would be able to convince BI or AS to suspend the stories so we could address the materially misleading and false statements that were damaging to Neri while the stories were in suspension. This seemed like an easy request to me. If we weren’t able to rebut the allegations, then BI was free to republish the stories. They would be even bigger stories in that case, but after 110 hours or so of trying, I haven’t been able to achieve this objective.

Yesterday morning's rainbow was the most I've ever seen against a blue sky. Very strange! And it wasn't particularly windy. Somehow the raindrops drifted far enough over toward us from a wall of cloud that the arc extended far out in front of the clouds.
