CHP Truckee posted a Facebook update several minutes ago saying they were working hard to reopen the highway but didn't know when it would happen. There was a lot of snow and several stopped semis in the background.

For the millionth time, universe, I said I'd like a cheap 4 cylinder gas or EV powered light pickup truck for scooting around town and hauling < 1ton loads of lumber or furniture or what not.

1/ 's first criminal trial will start in NYC on March 25. Judge Juan Merchan denied Trump’s motions to dismiss the case Thursday. The trial should be over before the RNC & in time for the fedl case in the DC to be tried before the election if acts expeditiously.

Back in the day, USU CNR remodeled the grad student bullpen but forgot to move the thermostat. It wound up two rooms away in an unused space, so our nice new cubicles were randomly heated or cooled with no regard for our comfort.

I'm pleased with my effort. I downloaded the picture, cropped to just the building and mountains, then did a reverse image search in Google images. The result was a company building down in Lehi next to Provo.

Ah, Groundhog Day again. The day when Americans, who constantly demand more frequent and more accurate weather forecasts from trained meteorologists turn to an inaccurate (albeit kind of cute) large rodent for a forecast (which is wrong 60% of the time) of how the spring will turn out.

Back in the 60s, I vaguely recall there was an idea to haul icebergs by tugboat to Los Angeles for water because the population was growing faster than the water supply. I guess they built the California aqueduct instead.
