Help! Is there anyone who can explain to me what the cultural significance of the phrase "Carl seinem Gretchen" might be in Vienna in about 1870? I understand what the words mean, but there’s some cultural reference I’m missing, I think.

It's not a complete phrase, either, and as a partial one, in isolation it does not seem to make a lot of sense to me, as a native speaker of German. Nothing rings a bell - could you give some more context?

But let me remind you that most member states remember very well what the drama queen has been coming up with, for half a decade, to rub her low esteem for the and its values under literally everybody's nose, and her desire to get rid of it all.

I doubt that most EU citizens have forgotten that already, and would welcome a return in the near future. Unpopular opinion: I certainly wouldn't, before 2035.

The article expressly names the two lawyers; and it shows a screenshot of a @tazgetroete article expressly stating they had confirmation of that ban existing, from both the police and the ministry. Later, as shown, they changed their story.

Somebody is clearly lying here, and I'd absolutely like to know who.

The regime of has chosen to attack , and then declared "The matter can be deemed concluded." Experience tells us that won't happen.

Bombing around in the region has never been a good idea, not for Iran, not for Israel.

Of course, the next few days will all revolve around for whom "we" need to take side here, and who "started".

It's probably futile to appeal to both sides to not add another war on top of what the world is already shouldering. I could already puke.

gestern beim rumspazieren hab ich ja erst noch drüber gelächelt wie man in nem dorf verzweifelt versuchte dem grad leicht losgewachsenem gras mit einem kleinen rasenmäherchen (mit zu kleinem aber seh wichtigen auffangbehälter) die stirn zu bieten ... jedoch eine hausecke weiter kam ein grundstück bei dem alle grünflächen knallhart gegen kies getauscht wurden. mein gott dann zieh doch in ne stadt in den 5ten stock oderso wenn du dich vor natur so ekelst...
