What if making progress on climate change doesn't mean doing everything the same way, except with less CO₂ emissions, but fundamentally changing the way we interact with nature and with other people?

A friend just pointed out:

"ADHD creates impulse control issues and, consequently, advertising takes advantage of a disability. Ergo, ad blockers are assistive devices and interfering with their operation for commercial gain constitutes a willful violation of the ADA."

Let’s do this.

In the annals of we-are-all-connected....

Each year, on average 27.7 million tons of Saharan dust, carried on wind currents across the Atlantic, drop into Amazonia, bringing vital phosphorus from the Bodélé Depression in Chad, an ancient lake bed. Amazonia's plant life needs this transoceanic fertilization. https://www.nasa.gov/centers-and-facilities/goddard/nasa-satellite-reveals-how-much-saharan-dust-feeds-amazons-plants/

Take a break from the world's problems for one day. Turn the camera of your mind toward those things which restore and inspire you. Those things are also true, and also part of the real world. Even fantasy and fiction is created by real humans, by miraculous and unique minds unlike any other.

Your eyes are not "open" if they are ONLY open to troubles.

The way to defeat a profit and greed driven system is to increase the value of things beyond what money can buy.

And then lower the price until most things are free. It'll make sense if you think about it

bearing more witness than the sum of your combined responsibility and influence is self-harm.

because showing depictions of real world horror to a person over and over is a recognised form of torture.

please observe your responsibilities to the problems of the world in full, including the ones you have to your own wellbeing.

sacrificing your health hurts the cause. it does not help it.

Yo, if you live in Berlin and have a sunny balcony/garden/window. You can get a plug-in solar setup for basically free.
This city subsidy program gives you up to 500€ for a setup and most only cost you around 300-400€.
Its basically free electricity for your apartment/home.

I sometimes feel overwhelmed by hype-drunk-people in the tech bubble. @parismarx 's work is a reminder that there is resistance to the hegemony of techsolutionism.
