waiterich,

This cartoon hits hard.

It hits even harder when you notice the 2007 publication date in the lower right corner.

@waiterich

It is funny, but it's by Exxon.

"Blaming" a generation is intended to hide the fact climate chaos is burning carbon, its not 'society' or 'growth' or 'boomers' - its carbon fuels, oil, gas and coal. 100's Billions of tons of CO2.

The magical solution is BUILD SUN AND WIND ENERGY LIKE TANKS FOR WAR.

Like FDR did to defeat fascism. But we're fighting the War On Life by oil and coal companies.

They are assaulting us.
Build wind and sun to win.👈

@waiterich @edgeofeurope Sad indeed. I made these two cartoons in 2007 for the Dutch NRC.next newspaper. George W. Bush was still the US president back then.

Silicium,

@waiterich @neingeist taking off off my glasses MOTHER OF GOD!

ccgargantua,

@waiterich I’m going to purposely misinterpret the intentions of this comic and say that it’s right. We have the technology. We have the money. We have the free will to choose more environmentally friendly products.

But instead we focus on issues that are pretty minuscule in comparison. We focus on the past quite a bit and point a lot of fingers rather than actually doing anything to solve the issues.

“We” being the vast majority of Twitter Spartans that complain about CC.
