I can't wait to not be effected AT ALL by whatever Meta decides to do with Threads Federation...
It just won't effect me or the way I use Fedi one bit.
Let them adopt Fedi features and then turn off federation....who cares? It'll be their loss...🤷♂️I'll federate till they give me a reason not to. And when they do, it won't bother nor effect me in any way.
That's the beauty of Fedi. Them federating or not changes nothing about how I use Fedi.
@BeAware That's how I see it as well but I feel like I may not be fully understanding all of the nuances. I may have to educate myself a bit more. Too many people that I respect are vehemently against federating and I'm not sure why.
@junior that's the issue. The bigger/more respected accounts are posting lots of false info like, if I federate, it'd effect every person that's federated with me. This is just simply not true.😬
