Why? TFG has underperformed his primary poll numbers in state after state. Haley is still garnering a very much non-trivial vote share weeks after she dropped out of the race, hell even DeSantis is still getting votes.
And those were all before his horrible week on #TheFreedomToDecide and before the New York Voter Deception Trial that starts tomorrow.
There's a pretty good argument to be made that he has hit his high watermark for the campaign.

I hope the margin after votes are tallied reflects that, and last election was the moonshot.
I just don’t trust that Trump voters won’t vote for him in those numbers again when it’s time, if they’re alive and registered.
My point was more simply about waving off so many tens-of-millions. I can delete those two words and feel exactly the way I did about the rest. It’s not worth arguing if it’s still 71 or 66.
There's little doubt his base will vote for him, though that includes a lot of non-voters pre-2016, some of whom have died, others if not fully motivated may well stay home.
Next, Trump-Biden voters who almost certainly will not vote for him, and, if things keep going as they are, are increasingly likely to vote for Biden again.
Last are the newly minted voters, who we certainly have a lot of work to do to get to the polls, but they are there to be had.
I'd much rather be us.
