The man is as progressive as LBJ and has gotten so many programs passed and STARTED. 11 billion this week for water infrastructure improvements. We are the only country that hasn’t entered a recession since the pandemic. I have no idea what you are using for a metric to decide he’s bad, but you are wrong. Dead wrong.

@jnye I second this motion. You must see it. I think it starts streaming next week. I lived this film, as I turned 20 as Regan was elected. The best part of this production is it does not get lost in the weeds. There are portions of the 80’ and 90’s that they skip over because they are not needed to get the message across and would make the narrative unwieldy.

Everyone should see it.

    @shekinahcancook Trump’s siblings are not psychopaths/malignant narcissists. Brother Fred drank himself to death probably because of a capacity for empathy. It is not a “lack of love” that created Trump. It’s his hardwiring.

    The DSM-V is divided into 2 sections: Mood disorders /Personality disorders. The first can be fixed or healed. The second cannot. About 19% of the population has a personality disorder. Malignant Narcissists don’t feel love nor have the capacity for empathy.

    @shekinahcancook. Of course they didn’t have a functional childhood. Fred was a nightmare. But that didn’t cause Trump to be a a malignant narcissist. They sent him to military school as a young teen because he was beyond their ability to understand or control.

    Better nurturing might have blunted some of Trump’s excesses, but probably not. Psychopaths can have near perfect childhoods, yet they are still monstrous psychopaths.

    We have to deal with reality. Trump is mentally ill.

The few of us who manage to be somewhat less toxic have never, ever been able to use our numbers to be adequate Allies.     Trump and Republicans get the blame for this. This ruling would have been unconstitutional under Roe, but Trump is proud that he stacked SCOTUS with anti-abortion justices who overturned it. There are many effects of losing those protections, and this is one of them.

    As always, don’t listen to what they say, watch what they do.

    I speak frequently with .. I can tell you how incredibly fearful he is for his safety & the safety of his family based on Donald ’s continuous witness intimidation. Cohen tells me about the constant death threats he receives. Hopefully the amended gag order issued by Justice Merchan will be enforced by Merchan if/when it is violated by Trump. All witnesses like Cohen needed to be protected from intimidation and threats. This is the United States of America.

    Roofer supposed to fix leak at our Calif. home for sale this wkend. Supposed to pour🌧️ so he'd have to cancel, we;d have to put hold on house; coming today to see if he can do it. Sigh.     I don't object to the result per se, it's still a sizeable bond and his corporate finances are monitored, but it's bad for the rule of law that (a) they gave no explanation and (b) Trump's briefs scrupulously avoided saying he didn't have the collateral for the bond. Would they begin firing on any of us? Should I hide? Should I hide my grandchildren? I plan to call at least once every week until the election.
