Watching the Twilight Zone from 2002, it's on Tubi. It's rad, man 🤣 If you haven't seen it, it's hosted by Forest Whitaker, the theme music is done by Jonathan Davis/Korn (one of the most 2002 things I've ever seen 😂🤣) and the rest of the music is done by Mark Snow (the dude that did the X-Files theme). Anyway, Tubi is free (and yeah, there's ads), but it has some really great stuff on it. Inglorious Basterds, that first TMNT movie from 1990, just a ton of cool stuff.
Turns out I wasn't paying attention and never wrote an introduction post, so here goes:
Hey Mastodon community! I'm an indie author with 10 novels, 7 novellas, and a whole bunch of short stories. I write #scifi#fantasy#postapocalyptic and #horror. Currently working on a #steampunk series.
The Day the Earth Stood Still (the remake from 2008) is on Hulu now - watching with wifey. She hasn't seen it, I haven't seen it since probably close to when it came out. So it's like seeing it for the first time for me, too. (My parents always used to say stuff like that - sigh. 😂 It's been 15 years!) I do remember liking it, though. I think. I do know the premise. There's a ton of folks in it, too- Jennifer Connelly, Jon Hamm, even Kathy Bates. No such thing as a bad Keanu flick, right? (We also recently watched Johnny Mnemonic. She thought it was rough- I love that stupid movie. 🤣)
My CPU is running at just under 100⁰C. I just bought Fringe on Bluray, and I'm currently copying it all into my Plex setup. Maybe the ambient temperature + the encoding work is pushing my PC a little hard 😅
I never finished Fringe back when it aired, so rewatching it feels reasonably fresh, although I remember bits and pieces when I see it. In any case, another episode is ready to watch, so here we go!
"Edie tilted her head to listen. It was catchy, full of bouncy rhythms. It made Edie think of sparkly outfits and dancing...
The name of the singer had been said so quickly, and besides that, all musicians gave themselves funny names. They’d done that even when Edie was young. But she’d put down her best guess and now she wouldn’t forget it."
