"Georgia's Court of Appeals paused court proceedings Wednesday in former President Trump's state 2020 election subversion case while it reviews appeals, including whether Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis can stay on the case."

@AxiosNews reports: "The pause in proceedings makes it unlikely that the Georgia case goes to trial before the November election."

I found a good deal on a used GTX1060 6GB, which I could use for some basic inference in my homelab.

Or I could splurt on a 4060Ti 16GB which would go to my desktop, and my current 2060 would go to my homelab.

Decisions, decisions

#Democracy is good, not a dictatorship, as #TFG/Republicans want.

You can't fight stupid. We elect people to rep us, who make laws in our name *not a direct democracy. We're representative democracy.

America has become more democratic. As the speaker said, while voters always chose their Reps, they didn’t always choose their senators. Until the 20C, st. legs. did that. The #17A, ratified in 1913, changed the US Const. Voters now pick their state’s US senators directly. https://www.editorialboard.com/in-america-you-can-fight-evil-but-you-cant-fight-stupidity/

It's almost time here on the old interwebs.

As you might know from past Sundays, I will be spewing my commentary for the monster movie du jour, so you may want to mute me if that's not your bag.

…or dial up the monster movie and follow along! Tonight "The Creature with the Atom Brain" from 1955. It's about an hour long.
