Homebrew is now installed for you with the latest images of Bluefin, Aurora, and Bazzite. We don't have to strongly recommend installing it anymore because it's right there!
Homebrew is a great package manager especially for CLI apps. Give it a whirl if you haven't already.
I did something to screw up my Nobara install quite some time ago, and have been waiting for Gnome 46 to land on some good distro to switch over and hopefully get my pc back to good standard.
After hearing good stuff about #Bazzite that's what I'm installing right now. Having high hopes. But they are lowered a bit by that bad installer. Can't remember last time I saw such a bad installer, and no live USB? What?
I hear new people come to Linux trough this distro? That's impressive!
Among all the patches we've shipped, my favorite is that HDR is now provided by the upstream AMD params and not based on Valve's patch set. Currently I'm working on making an EDID for the #SteamDeck OLED so HDR works under #KDE 6 as well.
Universal Blue is generally available today! We're out of beta and ready to showcase everything a Linux desktop can be. Our work has been to show how many problems in client Linux are already solved from the cloud native world. We hope you'll join us on this journey!
Q: Which is the best gaming Linux distro in the world?
A: The one that works for you. :)
Of course we're very excited about Bazzite and the unique ways it can address problems as a custom image of Fedora Atomic. However, we share lots of packages with other distros like Nobara and ChimeraOS.
The new offline installer ISOs are now available! No more workarounds to installing Bluefin or Bazzite! Tell a friend that it's now as easy to install these custom images as it is for any other distro!
New proper #bluefin and #bazzite ISOs tonight! Plus we've made a GitHub action and container for anyone with a Fedora based OCI container to make a fresh ISO on the spot.
Well, it finally happened: #Arch broke on my workstation. Not even sure how or why, just was suddenly unable to login. (Yes, I've already attempted keyboard layout, CAPS lock, chroot, passwd, faillock, etc.)
Bazzite started as a SteamOS alternative to the Steam Deck. Cool. Expanding Bazzite to other handhelds? Makes sense. Making it available for general PC usage? Also good.
How about making a Bazzite VM and then streaming that content to a Logitech G Cloud?
Do you wish you could run #Linux on an ASUS ROG or whatever your current #gaming rig is, but not sure where to start? Then check out #Bazzite! It is an #immutable Linux distro based on #Fedora Atomic from the #UBlue group so you can focus more on gaming and less on being a sys admin for your gaming gear!
