Though a full scan of the repo hasn't brought up a single affected APK, that doesn't mean any such cannot show up later – so better safe than sorry, right?
The #IzzySoftRepo (better known as #IzzyOnDroid – so I'll probably use that hashtag in the future) is used from all over the world, as this graph from GoAccess web statistics shows. Almost no country where it's not in use. I could only spot 3 small gray areas where no requests originated from.
I'm glad being able to help people from all over the world to get their #free and #OpenSource#Android#apps – and hope you enjoy them, too! :awesome:
This release adds support for finding barcodes in PDF files[1] and dealing with multiple barcodes. It also properly colours the status bar during usage now.
As always, it's available on #GitHub, will soon be available on #IzzyOnDroid and will slowly roll out to other app stores.
For those who don't know: it's Sylvia who a.o. provides the #IzzyOnDroid monitor at her own cost: https://monitor.izzysoft.de/status/izzyondroid This gives me "early warnings" (via @ntfy and @unifiedpush) should some service be down, so I can give it some hugs to make it feel better. So far there were only two such alerts, one for testing if it works and the other as a planned restart took a few seconds longer than planned. But good to be backed! :awesome:
That said, my thanks also goes to @obfusk who helps me a lot making #IzzyOnDroid safer. She caught several places in need of improvements, providing patches for some of them and giving advice (and proof-reading) for those I established myself. Some of the scripts used in that area also come from her.
So when thanking me for the repo, please everyone include Sylvia and her as well. Without them it wouldn't be the place it currently is! 😍
Heute müssen wir neben Manipulation und Schlamperei über ein weiteres Missgeschick reden, was FOSS passieren kann. Es ist sogar das nächst liegende und passiert häufig. Der vorliegende Fall allerdings sticht aus
I'm very happy to see how far the #IzzyOnDroid repository has come. Especially with all the recent scanner updates it has become so much more than "a secondary repo to get more FOSS app from".
I'd argue at this point it may very well be the most secure and well-maintained repository of #FOSS apps on #Android.

From all greedy social networks I miss Reddit the most. Used one of the alternative apps, but it's out now. Meanwhile the official app is a dumpster fire. Besides checking in once a while on a their website, are there any alternatives?
So #Mastodon isn't that complicated at all, the only thing that doesn't work is that the official phone app on #LineageOS from #fdroid probably would need installed google-apps... Which ain't gonna happen.
Well, can't have everything.
#Tusky seems to be functional enough for light use on the phone.
#neuhier Huhu an die alten Hasen hier. Welche (kostenfreien) Apps empfiehlt ihr für Mastodon? Ich teste gerade Tusky was mir schonmal deutlich besser gefällt. Aber gibt's noch andere die ich mir anschauen sollte? Danke schonmal :)
