I've started to test different databases to store language models, increase information and create content from it. This may also help to understand about how things work. Doing this later on a bigger model will be interesting for performance questions.

I've created a language model by using just one Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy book, but the results still sounded like Zaphod after the first sip on a Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster. 😂

"Oh yeah, I really love this website!"

Humans are fascinating when it comes to language. For example, the above statement can be expressed, using voice (and to an extent also body language and context) so that the person hearing the statement clearly understands that the person behind the statement actually means the polar opposite.

Now imagine using a language model to transcribe and provide a summary of an interview. Imagine how many human nuances will get lost. And how many faulty ideas may be invented and adopted because people believe a language model is "smart", even when its output is untruthful or random.

No, I would never use a language model in UX work. I could never assume and feel certain that I am able to find and correct all the mistakes made by a machine.

Fascinating as they are, AI assistants are not works of logic; they are works of words. They have become incredibly good at producing text that looks right. For many applications that is enough, not for programming though.

I think we just hit the limit of the users' expectations. Many assumed to be an alternative to and didn't understand the idea of what a is.

They soon realized it could help with certain tasks, but it isn't a query engine for fact-checking, and now they are just moving back to Google for such tasks.

So they are still using it. They are just using it for the right things now.

„Offener Brief: , und Co. fordern Zwangspause für Modelle wie -4“

Die Unterzeichnenden sehen „tiefgreifende Risiken für die Gesellschaft und Menschheit“. Duh.

Abgesehen davon, dass darunter viel US Academia sind, riecht das im Fall Musk nicht eher nach „Hey Mist ich hab 'nen Trend verpennt, wartet auf mich und meine Geschäftsmodelle“? 🤡
