My much-beloved G915 TKL is on the fritz. I’ve just looked into getting a new one…but it is STILL using Micro-USB in 2023. I can’t really conscience that.

Any suggestions for a new that doesn’t suck and uses a sane modern connector, e.g. USB-C? Any perhaps a modern gaming mouse that also has USB-C (wired or wireless)?

:debian: Updated to 12 Bookworm on my workstation a couple of days ago. Mostly trouble-free as Debian-upgrades usually are, though a couple of annoying things occured.

  1. Audio is not working after logging in, until I use pavucontrol to switch back and forth between profiles on the configuration page.

  2. The scroll-wheel of my MX Master 2S mouse has become less sensitive. I now need to scroll two steps for the system to detect a scroll-step in some apps.

Has anyone had win 11 respond to keyboard audio buttons (Vol Up, Vol Down, Mute) by showing the On Screen slider, but not actually change the volume?

This is all so baked in now, I’ve no idea where to start tweaking/debugging

yea so remember how I ranted before about my phillips headphones' shit build quality

how plastic parts that weren't structurally critical have cracked

well now plastic parts that are structurally critical are cracking

the left cup doesn't really touch my ear anymore because the piece connecting it with the headband is almost broken off

wondering if I should even bother with trying to glue this piece of shit back together or if I should design and 3d print a replacement from scratch...

kkarhan,

@lunareclipse I'd recommend to get a since they revised it and the structural parts are now metal...

Verschollenes Tauchboot Titan wird von altem Logitech-Controller gesteuert

I'm not going to weigh in on actual current events, but I do have some niche technical perspective on the infamous wireless gamepad used on the . The comments saying it was "a bluetooth controller" and "a knockoff playstation controller" are factually incorrect - the F710 uses a proprietary 2.4GHz dongle, and themselves are one of the oldest, most trustworthy makers of these things. If you ask me, the F710 or its wired cousin the F310 are actually the obvious choice. 🧵👇

I happen to have the same model of controller that was used on the , the ... the sucker is old enough to require AA batteries (no wired connection available, and the wired connection depends on a proprietary dongle), and the plastic is literally melting from just being in a shelf. Just how stingy do you need to be to use a wireless-only controller from ten years ago? https://www.logitech.com/assets/48300/f710-wireless-gamepad-quick-start-guide.pdf

lotta people badmouthing logitech gamepads but they're actually lovely gamepads that work just as well as any xbox controller, just at a fraction of the price. don't blame the poor gamepad for sub man's hubris >_>

My latest model has just been posted to .

I recently installed a C310 webcam in my printer enclosure, but wanted to be able to move it.

The problem was that with tall prints, the prints went out of frame and my AI detection was not able to monitor the last half. With smaller prints, the part was covered by the hotend and I wasn't able to see it.

So I made this. I took the Universal Camera Mount by ps915 and the Honeycomb Storage wall by RostaP and made this parametric design. Hope you enjoy!
