Kettenblatt, Kette, Kassette, Schaltrollen, Bremsbelege und neue Pedale 😊
Eigentlich sollte die Federgabel auch neu, die Werkstatt konnte aber keine Alternative zur Suntour XCM 34 ranschaffen.

Morning mt bike ride before the rain moved in. Trails are in prime condition so I routed us up some techy stuff to session lines and expand boundaries. Or tip over, we did some of that too.
For some reason I find myself unable to join in conf calls today.
These cliffs are actually the remains of a limestone quarry: blocks cut here were carried by pony to the canal and beyond. The odd cones are not natural features: they’re the rubble just overgrown
Erstens kommt es anders und zweitens als man denkt.
Gestern bin ich bei 12°C auf dem Thermometer auf der Nordostseite losgefahren und dachte, da musst du mal besser was zum Drüberziehen mitnehmen.
Im ersten Anstieg in der Sonne hatte es 26°C und als ich um 18:30 Uhr heim kam noch immer 19°C.
Heute hatte es auf demselben Außenthermometer 18°C und ich bin ohne weitere Klamotten im Sommeroutfit los.
30 min später hatte ich nur noch 14-15°C und die letzten 45 min 10-11°C. Das war kurz kurz dann doch etwas frisch 🥶🤣
Eigentlich dachte ich, ich kann auf meiner heutigen #Biketour zur #Donauversickerung bei #Immendingen die Furt zumindest, wenn ich die Schuhe ausziehe, auf den ins Flussbett gelegten Naturfelsquader überqueren. Aber die waren nicht mal mehr wirklich zu sehen. Hat doch viel geregnet in letzter Zeit.
Also musste ich einen Umweg auf der Straße bis zur nächsten Brücke machen.

Las oraz wzgórza niezmiennie piękne, a okolica dzika. Na trasie zaliczyłem lekki wkurw, bo jakiś kutafon po zjeździe singlem urządził sobie popas, a papierek po batonie wyrzucił beztrosko pod koła, na ściółkę. Nie lubię po kimś sprzątać, a tym bardziej kalać wzroku syfem. Pozbierałem i pokręciłem dalej, ciesząc oczy soczystą zielenią. #magiczylas#trail#mtb
Ihr wisst ja.... #Mountainbiker machen den Wald kaputt und müssen deshalb aus dem Wald verbannt werden.
Um diesem absurden #Vorurteil, #Bashing und #Blaming gerecht zu werden, habe ich mir auf meiner #Biketour heute durch's #Krebsbachtal bei #Eigeltingen besonders viel Mühe gegeben, nicht nur den Weg, sondern auch das Bachbett ohne Rücksicht auf Flora, Fauna und Ökosystem zu zerstören - siehe Fotos.
Die fehlenden Bäume gehen natürlich auch auf meine Kappe... die habe ich mit dem Kettenblatt umgesägt.

I've been taking my old #MTB out again of late and had forgotten how much fun an out and out #XC bike can be. But it needs new rear hub, cassette and chain, plus a new front rim. There's nothing inherently wrong with the specs of the worn out parts, but given that it's ~10 years old and tech has moved on, do I go like-for-like or use it as an excuse to upgrade from 10 speed to 12? 🤔
This dilemma is worryingly close to how most of my n+1 purchases start out. #cycling#bikeTooter

Während ich letztes Wochenende bei annähernd blauem Himmel und sommerlichen 25°C unterwegs war, waren es heute 1 Woche später phasenweise Graupelschschauer bei anfangs 6°C und zum Schluss nur noch 4°C 🥶
My bike now has spokes made out of strings. It’s actually a material called Dyneema which is polyethylene. It’s said to have 15x the strength to weight ratio of steel spokes and floats on water. My wheels lost over 200 grams in weight. But what’s bigger is these spokes dampen chatter on the trail. It feels like I’m riding with half the air in my tires, but without being slowed down.
I’ve done 2 rides on them so far and I’m very impressed by the ride quality improvements they have.
Fucking disaster, I'm so spaced out the last few days. Drove off and left the bike in the driveway. Went back and got it, was laughing to myself about mentally going over my checklist and forgetting the bike, and when I got to the trailhead I realized I left my Camelbak on the kitchen counter. No phone, no water.
It was only low 90s though so I just didn't ride that far.
