I listen to this constantly. It'll definitely be in my top 20 favorite albums of 2024 -- and somewhere near the top of the list. These dudes make LEGIT electro-punk. This is some of my favorite kind of stuff (and the kind of stuff I write and make myself, actually).
In the summer of 1947, a woman walked into a drug store in Memphis, Tennessee, to drop off film to be developed when she realized she had one exposure left.
She noticed a young boy outside the drugstore and asked him to pose with his bicycle so she could finish the roll and turn it in.

Today in Labor History: March 28, 1968: Martin Luther King led a march of striking sanitation workers in Memphis, Tennessee. Police attacked the workers with mace and sticks. A 16-year old boy was shot. 280 workers were arrested. He was assassinated a few days later after speaking to the striking workers. The sanitation workers were mostly black. They worked for starvation wages under plantation like conditions, generally under racist white bosses. Workers could be fired for being one minute late or for talking back, and they got no breaks. Organizing escalated in the early 1960s and reached its peak in February, 1968, when two workers were crushed to death in the back of a garbage truck.

#GOP media darling Kyle Rittenhouse who was acquitted after shooting 3 people, 1 fatally, during a #GeorgeFloyd protest in 2020, promptly scurried from a stage at University of #Memphis last night after he couldn't handle being booed for his responses to questions on #racism from a Black protestor at the event. Kudos to the Black student body at U of M!
