WAIT! WAAAAAAAAIT!!!

so never paid Pecker back the $150,000 his company paid to McDougal? Trump actually stiffed the guy who conspired to hide his dirty laundry so he could become President?!?!

OMFG Trump didn't pay the man who kept notes of their criminal conspiracy to subvert the 2016 elections.

GIF Idris Elba as Stringer in The Wire taking a bad away from his assistant while saying: Is you taking notes on a criminal fucking conspiracy?

«The ERA (S.108-A Kreuger/A.1283 Seawright) would prohibit discrimination by the government based on a person’s ethnicity, national origin, age, disability, and sex — including their sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, pregnancy and pregnancy outcomes. .... – an essential clarification given the national trend of criminalizing people for various pregnancy outcomes, as well as the Supreme Court’s overturning of Roe v. Wade.»

As of Jan 2024, NY now allows mail-in early ballots without any excuse. This was signed into the budget bill by the Governor last year. It's permanent - not tied to any emergency covid things or anything.

https://www.voteearlyny.org/about-voting-by-mail/

If you're planning to vote by mail (recommended, as always), the deadline to request a ballot for the upcoming primary is rapidly approaching (Mar 23rd).

I'm proud to support NYS Focus, a scrappy publication covering New York state politics. It fills a big gap in my knowledge. NYT and other "local" media really don't cover Albany. Here's the sort of thing I'm enjoying:

New York Plans Cyber Rules for Hospitals:
https://www.wsj.com/articles/healthcare-governance-body-warns-hospitals-face-debilitating-cyberattacks-a532505b

"Under draft rules reviewed by The Wall Street Journal, New York will require general hospitals to develop and test incident response plans, assess their cybersecurity risks and install security technologies such as multifactor authentication. Hospitals must also develop secure software design practices for in-house applications, and processes for testing the security of software from vendors."

"To assist hospitals with implementing the new cyber rules, the state will provide grants from a pool of $500 million. Once the rules are finalized following the comment period, hospitals will have one year to comply."
