After 2 - 3 weeks of trying both @protonmail and @fastmail I have decided to fully switch to Proton going forward.
With Proton you get email, ProtonPass, Proton VPN and other stuff. You also get 500GB of storage instead of the measly little 100GB of storage that Fastmail offers. Notifications on Fastmail were also VERY VERY delayed most of the time, on both Android and iOS.

Cleaning up your inbox just got easier – you can now label, move, delete, or mark as read all emails in a folder (including your main Inbox) at once on the #ProtonMail web app.
Proton Mail now offers "Proton Pass" -- Don't trust them.
As soon as it becomes popular, they'll limit the service, and make it part of their paid plan.
They like to get people hooked on their services, then raise their prices.
I was an early adaptor of Proton Family, before they surprised everyone by discontinuing the service, then starting it back up nearly a year later at a most costly premium. -- They did that to their paying customers. Don't trust them.
As a long term #protonmail user and until recently a user of the bundled #protonvpn service.
Issues with the vpn led me to sign up to #expressvpn and I was initially impressed - but now I'm growing less sure that I'm really gaining anything.
I still get issues with website blocking me because I'm on a non-ISP IP address and I still need to reconnect every now and then because I've essentially lost connection.
Will I renew expressvpn? I'm not sure so running proton on a couple of devices.
Ich werde oft gefragt, warum ich E-Mail-Anbieter wie Proton Mail oder Tuta nicht empfehle. Weil der Zugang über IMAP nicht möglich ist, was ich für sehr wichtig halte. Ich möchte nicht auf den Browser oder Apps des Providers angewiesen sein. Ich weiß, dass Proton eine »Proton Mail Bridge« anbietet. Das funktioniert aber nicht bei jedem Client, vor allem nicht mobil. Daher: Keine Empfehlung von mir für die Anbieter.

@protonmail also suggested that I apply for the partner program, which I did but haven't heard back yet. Hoping to hear back in the next day or two and hoping that I get accepted.

🗓️ See main calendar event details in the invite email itself, thanks to our new Calendar widget.
☑️Check your availability simply by tapping on the invite widget in the email – it will take you straight to the #ProtonCalendar app.
I've been using, and paying for a #Tutanota email for over 3 years now. And I think I'm going to give it up.
After 3 years, it's still not possible to use OpenPGP, I have to use a dodgy system and give a password to everyone I want to email who doesn't use Tutanota.
Searching for emails is a pain, a real pain.
It is not possible to use any client other than Tutanota.
I came from #ProtonMail, and changed because their commercial com. became too aggressive for my taste. I may reconsider...
