I have my #Twitter handle on slides, cards, and a host of other items that I've distributed during my academic career.
Once I leave Twitter (or get kicked out) and someone co-opts my username, how do I ensure that visitors know that the current owner of the username is no longer me? How does one manage #impersonation? Ideas?
Leaving Twitter and Deleting my account early this year was one of the best moves I have ever made in terms of personal sanity.
Thank you to those here who welcomed me.
Twitter is in the Titanic breaking in half and going ass up phase of Elon Musk's tenure.

Meanwhile, on #Twitter, overt racism is going viral...
😱 😱 😱
I reported it......and didn't interact with it in any other way, because we don't need that dillweed profiting off his racism.
Absolutely nothing will come of the report, though, and that's why #Mastodon is better. Here, you report something like that, and MFer's losing access to their account.
It's interesting that Elon Musk was crying this week about the plummet in advertisers willing to work with Twitter.
Right now, if you go to the Toxic Bird Site to try and get information on the bridge attack in #Ukraine/Crimea, half of the feed is "people" (they're not actually worth that title) referring to Ukrainians as Nazis.
I can't possibly understand why companies wouldn't want their advertisements showing next to that "content". 🙄
