Only the water knows —
Even in crises felt every day
the water simply flows:
While tyrants may rise
then crumble and fall
the water is wise

The castle

For ages I’ve laid waste to the lands all around
and built up battlements high
But just outside the great fortress around me
a little lantern stands hard by
Through a breach in the bristling bastion’s walls
I can see her sending me light
Could it be that letting her lightness in
is the truer expression of might?

But I see a stone altar
hallowed by leaves a-falling —
The sacrament of autumn
handed down
by the wise old trees

Question for the photographers of mastodon:

I need a real camera that can take product photos with accurate colors. My iPhone is taking a lot of pics with a blue tint, especially if the item is white or lightly colored. It’s getting frustrating. I don’t want to spend too much, but it is an investment since I will be taking photos of 57+ products here in the next couple of weeks.

Any recommendations?

@ashleyspencer You can try the various camera apps for iPhone out there.
The blue tint is caused by Apple’s algorithm, not the camera itself (though if you’re using a case with a plastic cover for the lens, that can throw it off, too). And yes, it sometimes gives things a bluish tint.
The paid apps generally give you a lot more options and control than the native app.
Might be much more cost effective than buying a whole camera.

@ashleyspencer Strictly speaking, they don’t make the camera better, they just squeeze more out of it by using their own algorithms and AI.
You can also use the auto-edit function (the magic wand) in Photos to correct some things or adjust colors.
Unfortunately I can’t recommend any specific camera app because I haven’t used any lately — I got a DSLR a few years ago because I missed doing hardcore photography, so I use that.
