Cette année nous étions aux Journées Du Logiciel Libre à l'ENS de Lyon. Nous n'avions pas de stand, mais nous avons pu intervenir lors d'une conférence intitulée : "Dogmazic, 20 ans et toutes nos dents !".

If you sit down and talk with Republicans,
which I advise against doing,
you will notice that they justify nearly every one of their awful policies with a call to states’ rights.
They say they want to take power away from national representatives in Washington, D.C., and redistribute it to state and local governments,
which, they claim, are best equipped to determine the best policies for their constituents’ particular, parochial concerns.
They use this appeal to “federalism” to shield them from moral accountability for their disastrous actions.
Republicans will say, for instance, that their intention is not to take away abortion rights but merely to let the states decide when a person can be forced to give birth against their will.
They are lying, of course.
We know this because whenever Republicans get the power to impose their views by national fiat, they happily do so, states’ rights be damned.
Republicans are for local control right up until a local prosecutor declines to deport an immigrant or a city council decides to ban assault weapons.
Still, “states’ rights” remains their battle cry,
and few things expose the full measure of their antipathy toward democratic norms and civil rights than what they do with the power they’ve given to the states.
Most people are aware of the horrors that await when Republicans take control of statehouses and governors’ mansions.
For recent examples, consider Greg Abbott’s murder moat in Texas, or Glenn Youngkin’s crusade against abortion rights and Pornhub in Virginia.
Fewer, however, recognize the horrors that lie in store when Republicans commandeer the machinery of the law.
Put simply, whichever rights the Supreme Court does not succeed in obliterating, Republican-controlled state courts and Republican attorneys general eagerly chisel away, state by state.
They are the people who, under their own authority, can bend the law to their will and weaponize it against vulnerable communities.
There are currently 27 of them, and they include future Newsmax hosts like
Kansas AG Kris #Kobach, who finds his joy in suing to stop Joe Biden’s student debt relief program;
Florida AG Ashley #Moody, who spends her days fighting whatever “wokeness” conspiracy exists in her head at any given moment;
and Texas AG Ken #Paxton, who has effectively decided to make up his own immigration laws and enforce them at the point of a gun.
Republicans realized long ago that state AGs represent the steel gauntlet inside the velvet glove of states’ rights.
They also realized that they needed an organization to help them make that vision real,
so in 1999 they created one: the
💥Republican Attorneys General Association.💥
Much like the Democratic National Committee or the Republican National Committee or any number of partisan-affiliated outfits, #RAGA identifies candidates, supports their efforts to win elections, and imposes national Republican priorities at the state level
—though that’s far from all it does.
The association sees its mission as “Defending the Rule of Law. Keeping America Safe”
and hails itself as “America’s last line of defense.”
You’d think that means keeping states safe from criminals and fraudsters,
but in most cases RAGA AGs think they’re “defending” us from transgender kids who need to use the bathroom or Uber drivers who take people across state lines to get abortions.
RAGA prosecutors share a hatred of reproductive rights, a love of guns, and an obsession with persecuting the LGBTQ community.
You probably didn’t need me to tell you that, though:
Hating women and gay people while using a .450 Bushmaster as a masculinity supplement when the testicle tanning wears off is simply standard GOP operating procedure these days.
But RAGA AGs are also committed to doing the dirty work for every other hellish Republican policy idea,
from destroying the environment to gutting voting rights to undermining vaccines, because apparently states need “defending” from science, facts, and public health.
No matter what awful thing they’re doing, the AGs always have enough money to do it.
In exchange for this largesse, these corporations get more than one-off lawsuits or the occasional friendly AG.
Beyond backing individual officials, RAGA is involved with bigger, broader strategies.
RAGA attorneys general work hand-in-hand with preferred Trump judges to shape our national laws through targeted cases designed for appellate and eventually Supreme Court review.
They make rulings that trigger nationwide injunctions.
In recent months, RAGA AGs in 19 states have asserted their right to get access to the private medical records of patients seeking care out of state
—most likely so they can be prosecuted for receiving an abortion when they come back home.
In 13 states, RAGA AGs have threatened to sue companies over their diversity and inclusion programs.
Most of the time, the law is hiding in shadows, obscured under thick layers of jargon and confusing rules of procedure.
But RAGA attorneys general are not trying to hide the ball. They’re proud of their work.
These people are elected officials (many with ambitions for higher office), so when they menace a vulnerable community, they want you to know about it.

Cette militante d'extrême-droite a déjà voté Marine le Pen aux élections, et même pour son père Jean-Marie avant elle. Les Restos, qu'elle a cité dans les médias, met en avant son obligation de neutralité. Une association, ce sont aussi des valeurs communes!
Je travaille pour un média qui a aussi des principes: Ancré au cœur de la gauche et des mouvements sociaux, de l'écologie politique contre le racisme et les discriminations. Si je sortais le 10è de ce que Judith Waintraub ou Eugénie Bastié balancent sur les réseaux sur les étrangers, les personnes LGBTQIA, etc. (la liste est trop longue) je serais dehors et ce serait normal.
Ecarter Colombe, "ça fait monter le vote RN". Pardon? Ce qui fait monter le vote de l'extrême-droite, ce ne seraient pas plutôt les discours racistes qui infusent, les médias aux mains de milliardaires eux-mêmes racistes et des politiques iniques de gauche comme de droite ?

🧵 2/3 It is this mixture of #association and the official institution that makes the centre so lively. The building and cashiers belong to the region, everything else is done by an association of #volunteers. It has more members than villagers. We give #guidedTours, keep the #archives in order, repair items on display, organise #exhibitions and two international #festivals, show #handicrafts and bake #cakes. The cakes served in the cafeteria on Sundays are always home-baked by the women on duty.

Pour la blague, iels ont aussi créé une asso appelé la S.A.U.C.E qui regroupe les anciens et anciennes compagnonnes.
Alors, je n'ai pas fais parti du réseaux repas mais j'y ais travaillé dans une structure qui en faisait partie. REPAS c'est l'acronyme de Réseaux des Échanges de Pratiques Alternatives et Solidaire.
C'est une formation qui dure 8 mois et qui accompagne leur adhérants et adhérantes pour monter un projet de collectif à la fois économiquement et humainement.
Le but est à la fois de découvrir des entreprises mais aussi leur outils pour travailler ensemble. Les réunions, les outils d'education populaires comme pense-écoute, tour-météo et de voir comment économiquement s'intègre dans le territoire et aussi par rapport aux valeurs portées.
La plupart de ces collectifs sont en autogestion, c'est à dire qu'il n'y a pas de chef.fe.s ou plus exactement que cela tend vers l'horizontalité.
En réalité, 0 chef.fe.s ça n'existe pas vraiment dans le sens où ce n'est pas inscrit dans le temps. Par exemple, si tu travailles depuis 15 ans dans une structure tu deviens une figure d'autorité. Si tu t'exprimes beaucoup, aussi. Si tu gères beaucoup de choses aussi. Si tu es permanent ou permanente aussi.
La question du chef.fe.s n'est pas forcément négative. Le plus important c'est la prise de conscience de ce pouvoir et d'offrir un espace d'expression, de décision en essayant de gommer les différentes strates qui peuvent exister et d'arriver au partage des responsabilités.
Ce qu'il y a de génial dans le compagnonnage c'est la diversité des profils, des entreprises et le travail de groupe qu'iels réalisent ensemble.
C'est une expérience unique qui requestionne notre rapport vis à vis du monde du travail et du sens de notre vie.
Face aux difficultés d'accès à la culture en milieu rural, un groupe de citoyens a créé une association qui donne vie à un projet culturel collectif : La Bigaille, un bar associatif, ouvert à tous pas des bénévoles depuis 10 ans. Leur programmation artistique séduisante redynamise la petite ville de campagne et ses environs.
L'expérience, véritable modèle de réussite, montre à quel point l'important n'est pas d'avoir, ni d'être mais de faire ensemble ; elle nous invite à co-construire nos propres projets écologiques ayant du sens dans un monde en mutation.
Cette bd est géniale car elle offre un témoignage sensible qui est assez proche de ce que j'ai pu vivre en étant permanent d'une association.
La question de la légitimité entre les anciens et nouveaux est bien mise en lumière. La relation entre le coeur de l'association et les bénévoles aussi.
On aborde aussi la difficulté de trouver un lieu, des financements.
Aussi certains aspects difficiles dans la vie collective comme l'exclusion d'un membre. Ou encore quand on veut se lancer dans les travaux manuels, service du bar, sono sans trop s'y connaitre...
C'est extrêmement riche, puissant et léger. Le dessin j'aime moins mais il est bien et véhicule bien cette expérience collective que l'on retrouve dans de nombreuses structures alternatives.
Je recommande vivement sa lecture pour celleux qui souhaitent porter un projet collectif, alternatif.

My non-profit tech team will be looking for a project manager in the new year! We are a small crew, working for a U.S. national #association. Remote with 2 or 3 travels per year.
A new role, managing tech projects as well as being a guardian for the team's time and resources. New incoming technologies across the org.
