Did something different this morning for Saturday breakfast and headed to Ima Asa Yoru in Brunswick to try out its Japanese brunch menu.
I had the Mazesoba soupless ramen, which was fantastic (subtle spicy flavour, umami depth), and @NarrelleMHarris ordered the Soy Milk Tonjiru Stew, which she said was great.
Impressive service and food presentation too. Recommended.
I keep telling people that a vanilla soy latte is technically a three bean soup, but nobody understands. They just nod and smile like I'm the crazy one.
Good morning Fediverse, I'm starting today off with some Lapsang Souchong, a delicious pine-smoky black tea. How about you? It's gonna be a good day today!
Today's #breakfast. Made it myself because no one else will and I didn't want to spend any more money on food delivery although that would be more convenient. So allocated precious morning energy to have this plateful of brioche bread, butter-fried mushrooms, egg, and cheese. With coffee of course.
#breakfast pretzels from village bread, with cream cheese
#lunch smoothies with bananas, blueberries, yogurt, lemonade and vanilla
#dinner toasted beef and muenster cheese on sourdough rye bread, with raw carrots for the side and a homemade dipping sauce made with peanut butter, garlic and hot sauce
#livingwell was snacking on popcorn for no particular reason
Second breakfast (before bedtime) of chee cheong fun slathered with sweet sauce and chilli, plus kopi c kosong at eatery run by the National Transport Workers' Union. Helped somewhat to heal the trauma of first breakfast, a heap of slavoury rubbish from an economic bee hoon stall that unfathomably provided no chilli or sambal at all (and not because they had run out).
