Hey #CasioCult is there a #Casio watch that does step tracking without being connected to a phone? I like a Casio, but kind of want to track steps, and I don’t need Bluetooth or anything fancy.
⌚📷 The Casio WQV-1 Wrist Camera from 2000 is the first digital camera built into a wristwatch. It can store 100 black and white photos with a resolution of 120x120 pixels.
😎 It's not hard to imagine how it sparked the interest of gadget enthusiasts back then. Thanks to a kind donation to the museum, we hope that, like with the recent Gameboy Camera, we'll soon be admiring its photos as well.
I'm thinking about getting a regular (non-smart) watch, so I don't have to rely on my phone all the time to keep track of the time. The only issue, is that every watch manufacturer seems to be all scams with crap quality and crap customer service.
I just want a decent quality non-toxic watch, made out of recyclable materials, that will last me for decades to come.

Welcome to my #Casio rabbit hole! An addiction I can afford and I'm just at the beginning. 😎 Now new with a G-SHOCK DW-5600E. Nicknamed G-Shock square due its squarish appearance. The iconic design is reminiscent of the very first G-SHOCK from 1983. Btw, Keanu Reeves wore a DW-5600 in 'Speed' 1994.

@MadMike77 I like to take my F-91W with me when I travel, as I did today. I use NATO strap or woven nylon for the watch strap. Makes the F-91W comfortable to wear for me. :f91w:

I want to try my hand at learning how to service a watch movement. Apparently pocket watches are easier to start on as they’re bigger. Managed to pick up this beautiful 1950s Smiths Empire watch from eBay.
Crazy thing is it only cost a few £ more than a #Casio F-91W. 🤯
Speaking of the Ensoniq VFX-SD, it was advertised as the “First Music Production Synthesizer”. They must have meant within the Ensoniq family of synthesizers, because this came out in 1989, and before it, there is at least one that precedes it, in 1988. See reply to learn what it is.
@etherdiver honorable mention to the 1987 Casio HT700 (and full size key siblings HT3000, HT6000). You can program some chord patterns, some bass patterns for the accompaniment and some tweaks on drums. More of an auto-accompaniment programmable synthesizer with effects and custom play styles.
Looking for the service manual or circuit diagram for a Casio MT400V synth. Willing to spend $$.
I have the sm for the CT405, MT68, MT100, and some parts are applicable, but the power (supply and amplifier) board appears to be unique to the MT400V.
