The ONLY thing I miss about Twitter is the all the dozens of cute animal videos the algorithm showed me. That’s pretty much all my feed was.

Do we have accounts or bots that post things like this here on Mastodon? Pics of cute animals at least?

All I know are autistic hashtags, so not sure what to tag for this question.

A post I made on FB about my favorite animals led to a whole lot of people realizing that pink fairy armadillos are an actual thing, and it is delightful to watch 😆

I guess I'm now spreading the gospel of the pink fairy armadillo. They are real, y'all.

I didn’t know I needed to watch a cute, chubby field hamster running through a field in slow motion, but here we are.

Twenty years ago I helped make a Flash game called Haggis Hurl; this is the wee haggis I drew for it.

We've re-used the basic game engine in post-Flash games but never got round to putting the haggis version together again. Really should. It was cute.

You pinged them from a catapult and they went "wheeeeeee!"

Cat tip: If they refuse to use your cat beds, three things to try:

  1. Just move it, period. Sometimes that's all it takes.
  2. Move it to a place they're already sitting without a bed
  3. Leave dirty laundry that smells like you on it. The smell makes them feel safe
