This is infuriating. This #POScop kicked a passing driver's car, injuring his leg, but he filed a #falsereport that resulted in the driver being #arrested on #felonycharges. It was only #dashcam footage that revealed the truth, and led to those false charges being dropped. But the cop still has a job. He lied, filed a false report, and fully intended to see an innocent man be held accountable for a #crime that never happened. Why TF is he still allow to wear a #badge??
Oh, today is my 8th anniversary of working on Mastodon. I was 23 when I started, finishing my last year of university, still living at my parent's place. I had no idea what I was getting myself into or that it would consume the next 8 years of my life almost completely.

After difficulties traveling with cats, we opted to buy an old RV Camper a few years back. #RVLife
We don't have any wealth, so this wouldn't be new, we couldn't guarantee a loan for a new one anyway.
So we buy this 30 year old beast, well used, partially working, meaning, it drove, and many of the house features worked. But we didn't use them all. Just needed the Camper, and we decided to go on an adventure around #NovaScotia, visiting all those places people miss. #Travel
So, in summary, can't afford the city home, property taxes are higher than my first mortgage, can't live in the cheaper home, due to city gerrymandering, and somehow we squeak a new portable residence into the mix.. We're insane!
Might need it to live in someday, rather than those tents in town.
Anyway. that's my adventure story today, up to this point. We've done Nova Scotia, now we need to be able to go outside the country in it. Risky Business
Back from a quick drive to Kodaikanal to pick up feed for cows, along with kibbles for dogs and cats.
The last mile access road has washed out in recent rains. Couldn't climb out of the easier road, wheels kept slipping.
Managed to turn around and use the hard-mode road where I have to take a 70° acute turn while also switching from flat surface to 40° climb on gravel between half meter deep ruts that must be avoided, in a 1000cc, 2 wheel drive hatchback phew
Dass LKW innerorts beim Rechtsabbiegen nur Schrittgeschwindigkeit fahren dürfen, scheint sich auch nach dreieinhalb Jahren noch nicht rumgesprochen zu haben.
Falls also wer nen silber/grauen #Mitsubishi [Eclipse Cross?] Mit Kennzeichen WI-T-****E in oder um #Leverkusen sieht, sagt' Bescheid und haltet Abstand!
Wenn du mit gemütlichen 20 km/h in dein Wohnquartier reinfährst, weil dort:
maximal 30 km/h erlaubt sind
der Strassenverlauf NICHT einsehbar ist (weil Kurve)
vor und nach der Kurve des öftern Kinder mitten auf der Fahrbahn sind
und dir mehr auf deiner Seite kurvenscheidend ein SUV mit Anhänger und geschätzt 50 km/h entgegenkommt, dann freust du dich sicher, weil dein Einkauf auf der Rückband sich durch die Notbremsung und Lenkbewegung nach rechts

I know the tech well, having worked as Chief Scientist for #AI at a major automotive company until I retired last year. Bottom line: it is far easier to collect vast amounts of data from vehicle sensors than to use it, store it or transmit it. The amount retained today in consumer vehicles, if any, is very small.
